I have searched both high and low, far and near and deep and wide... there is no factory competition approved 2014/2015 z28 any where in organized motorsport. It is a total dud... I also feel the existence of the Z/28.R in CTSCC and SCCA GTS is not only an insult to manufactures that did the work, its just plain ruining the class. GTS is a little more extreme as far as spec goes, I feel better its a z28 and not the ZL1 out there... That looks silly... The GTS Z/28.R is a far better attempt than the KIA that currently dominates the class. Its a perfect example of how fabricated entry can destroy a class in half a season.
CTSCC is pushing Chevrolet this year, its their turn to win or they will cry about it. God the Camaro blows...
What I fear the most is, other contenders following suit. If other manufacturers see the Camaro not following the guidelines, they may figure "screw it, its easier and cheaper to apply for a waiver. It also removes the OEM equipment limitations as well. The Boss 302R was designed with the notion that the equipment used on the 302R would be meet or be within the parameters of the street car. Cars not adhering to the standard are usually host to the parts they need specifically for a race application...
All in all, its just something that must be endured. I always said, if the 6.2 Camaro GS.R couldn't cut it, just leave the LS7 at home. Such advantages and privilege shouldn't be required in professional or amateur racing. At the very least, they should be ashamed.
