I have searched both high and low, far and near and deep and wide... there is no factory competition approved 2014/2015 z28 any where in organized motorsport. It is a total dud... I also feel the existence of the Z/28.R in CTSCC and SCCA GTS is not only an insult to manufactures that did the work, its just plain ruining the class. GTS is a little more extreme as far as spec goes, I feel better its a z28 and not the ZL1 out there... That looks silly... The GTS Z/28.R is a far better attempt than the KIA that currently dominates the class. Its a perfect example of how fabricated entry can destroy a class in half a season.

CTSCC is pushing Chevrolet this year, its their turn to win or they will cry about it. God the Camaro blows...

What I fear the most is, other contenders following suit. If other manufacturers see the Camaro not following the guidelines, they may figure "screw it, its easier and cheaper to apply for a waiver. It also removes the OEM equipment limitations as well. The Boss 302R was designed with the notion that the equipment used on the 302R would be meet or be within the parameters of the street car. Cars not adhering to the standard are usually host to the parts they need specifically for a race application...

All in all, its just something that must be endured. I always said, if the 6.2 Camaro GS.R couldn't cut it, just leave the LS7 at home. Such advantages and privilege shouldn't be required in professional or amateur racing. At the very least, they should be ashamed.

My concern is that indeed the cars raced move further away from stock. I like the idea of being able to order a car direct from my dealer I can race. and also being able to get a street derived version of it. That's why I'm a fan of the Porsche and Ford. Hate to see this level of Motorsport go the direction of NASCAR.

All this bickering. All I want to know is will the new GT350 take care of the Z/28? Will Ford build a new SVT, GT500 whatever nametag to chase the Z06?

I'm still having difficultly accepting a forced induction Z06. Part of me wishes it stayed NA. There is a small possibility the GT350R will contend in GT eventually, along side the C7.

Totally agree on the z06 being supercharged.

I still hope that GM might release something like a Grand Sport that uses a version of the LT1 without AFM, which would let the engine rev higher, reduce weight by going back to an aluminum torque tube, and eliminate the exhaust valves required for v4 mode. Maybe two piece brakes, and lightweight manual seats with excellent bolstering.

Hmmm, sorta sounds like what the GT350 could be like.

Yea, it seems a lot of high performance cars are going with forced induction. The 911 Turbo S, GTR, now the Corvette Z06. I guess you can still get a Viper for its raw NA muscle car brashness.

The Z06 should put down some interesting numbers that we can all analyze to death. The pricing is indeed very bargain oriented like it always is. Seems Ford really needs to get in the game and is behind the curve while the muscle cars and HP wars are in high gear now. An SVT Mustang can't come quick enough.

Side note, the Z06 now weights as much as a Turbo S, there goes that slight advantage. The AWD Porsche pretty much kills every car from 0-60.

perhaps Ford give up ?
Challenger and the Charger are available with over 700hp stock !
Camaro is still available with V8 supercharged manual and ! automatic and the new will be even more powerfull i´m sure !
Corvette Z06 is V8 supercharged.

I mean, hey Ford you have a nice V8 supercharged engine with 665hp on stock !
Why the hell you did´nt put in this new 2015 ???
NA engines for europe are nearly impossible to sell for sportscars because of extreme fuel costs. You sell us a shit 4banger turbo because of our fuel prices but on the high end engines you fail with a NA V8 ??? the efficiency of a forced inducted engine is much better and torque rises extreme. I think it´s much better to put on a nice US supercharger instead a shit direct injecting NA engine with black debris inlet valves after 20000km !!

What about the Trinity engine now ?? is it dead ??? cant believe it.

NA engines drive better, because you don't have the somewhat variable amount of boost also affecting power/torque output. Never mind that you're adding a significant amount of weight up high and up front - which is about the worst place - to an engine that already is heavy.

Yeah, I know, that doesn't matter too much until people realize that using all of the throttle positions between idle and wide open actually makes good sense . . .

I got to witness some rare video you will never see on Youtube... Unless SID gets ahold of it. I am overjoyed and stunned at the same time. First, let me say, Ford has a lot of influence on what becomes an official "spy pic" or "spy video". There is literally TONS of photos and video embargoed. I hope that isn't true...

I'm not exactly sure what was done to these GT350's but, they are very fast and very well behaved ride.

I haven't received an email back yet as to what I can comment on.
