I installed mine yesterday, using that video. Super easy install. Tip for anyone with the A/T: once you remove all the trim pieces and the buttons there is one additional screw for each paddle shifter. Once you take these out, the entire back plastic piece can be popped out. You have to completely dissemble it this way and this will also remove the wiring harness. You need to remove the rear black plastic of the GT350 steering wheel as well. You will be re using the harness form the factory wheel (it's attached to plastic). Just make just to do this BEFORE installing the trim onto the new wheel (I didn't, and had to take it back off).

Thank you guys for saving and providing the video for other's to see, I don't know why CJ took their video down. My GT350R steering wheel came in yesterday and I will be installing it today. This question might have been answered before and I apologize if I am asking about something that has already been answered, but is it necessary to disconnect the negative battery terminal? The only reason why I ask is because I don't want the air bag light coming on or throwing a code.

It is recommended for your safety. However it is not required. Just make sure the ignition is off when removing it and stays off till you finished the install. No airbag light will come on as long as the ignition is off.

Installed my R wheel last night. It's the easiest steering wheel I've ever had to remove.
I actually just opened up the thread where you posted your pictures, looks great! Can't wait to install mine!

I installed mine last night. This thread helped guide me and keep me "not afraid" of doing it. I had a cheap set of plastic pry tools from harbor freight, and the J shaped tool helped release the lower center bright trim. The screws from the factory for that weren't even secured down fully on the old wheel!

Just a note though, the screw holes in the new wheel aren't pre-tapped. The screws you re-use will tap the threads for you, so it will require some effort to get them in and secure, so it's best to use a good sharp non-worn T20 for this task, or else you'll be stripping screw heads.

I had a little trouble getting the right bright trim to snap into the back section plastic cover at the top, but a few remove/reinstall attempts and I had it convinced to pop into place.

but is it necessary to use a torque wrench?, cant I just use regular ratchet and tighten down as hard as possible? i could always buy the wrench but was just wondering what the consequences would be if I did it by hand

Many have used just a regular ratchet including me, it's aok. It's not like you're getting lugs to 150 just put a ratchet to it and get it tight as you can, add a little locktite for peace of mind if you want.
