How much was wheel? Thanks for the thread. I ordered one and installed yesterday. I love the new wheel. Feels much higher quality. I like the darker color trim pieces too.
Also I have the carbon sport interior package, so it matches the rest of my alcantara interior nicely. If this were included in that package it wouldn't look out of place at all.
You could just color the stitching yourself, right? Don't they make fabric pens that can do that? I think there was a thread about it somewhere...I keep wanting to get one so bad. Just keep waiting for one with blue stitching to match the rest of the stitching on the car.. worse case is I go get it restitched I guess..
$275. Sounds reasonable.https://parts.autonationfordwhitebearlake.com/oem-parts/ford-wheel-asy-steering-jr3z3600ab
Or Call Mike R @ 1-800-328-9552, tell him you read this thread on Mustang6G!
Glad I could help!
When I did it on the '16 I had the suggestion was to disconnect the battery and wait 30 minutes. I gave it over an hour. I was sweating bullets and trying to stay out of the airbag path, but it went without a hitch.$275. Sounds reasonable.
So I thought airbag cars have capacitors so even after you disconnect the battery you have to wait for the capacitors to discharge?
After doing some research, I finally installed the 2018 GT350 steering wheel in my 2018 GT (400A/A10)!!!
Shout out to Mike R @Autonation White Bear Lake for going over VINs and part numbers with me.
The 2018 steering wheel and airbag part numbers are different compared to the 2015-17's.
I ordered part# JR3Z-3600-AB.
Swapped over the buttons, trim bezels and airbag. Everything was plug and play.
Wonder if theres a way to still keep them?Well we would also give up the patal shifters. I dont care about that once it gets cold the car gets stored for the winter.
I was wrong you can keep them..Wonder if theres a way to still keep them?
