My car with MBRP sounds amazing to me, but it changes with the type of fuel i run. e85 brings out the flat plane a little more.

Not trying to hijack op. Just very relevant to this thread.

Have a 2016 Gt350. I bought the cat and resonator delete kit from shiftek. Installed the cat deletehave not got around to doing resonator x delete yet.

Cat delete only with hp tune, only changed what it needed to make it run proper with no lights. (I’m not knowledgeable enough to mess with anything else)
This car is loud, it sounds good though. Actually really good. Neighbours are ok with the cold start, so they say. Mostly highway driving, keep out of it when doing any city driving.

My question is, will it get louder when I do the resonate x delete or just change the tone?

stock x pipe is kinda ugly so this resonator x delete makes sense, looks like it would flow better just really don’t want it louder than it is.

Shiftek products are of nice quality, don’t be scared of the less expensive prices compared to the big names.

People are crapping all over them on a Facebook post I made, but the video I linked a few posts ago makes the X-pipe alone sound almost identical to the R to my ears. Look like they are of good quality steel 👍

I seen those fb post too, made me want to try out shiftek even more. Gotta wonder if they even have the product, or just trolls. Maybe work for the big names. We do custom exhaust work and down pipes in our shop. My tig welder looked these shiftek parts over and gave them his blessing. We couldn’t pi cut and build for the price point.

This vs this? Any aftermarket gas to be better than stock

Ahh you have the double helix X they recently started selling I’m looking for the OG X-pipe they still sell for $200. Will be interesting to see how their new version sounds!

I chopped up a Double X. Here’s what I found.

Horrible mismatch at both crossovers.
Wait what? That looks bad, which pipe was this? 😬

That’s why I took off the Borla X that came with the system. The welds in the X looked like my daughter did it. Actually…I take that back. If she did it, it would probably look pretty sweet.

Not practical, and I know not everyone is gonna pay BLine money, but that thing is gorgeous, inside and out. Amazing welds all through the interior of the X.

I actually have the old single one, just posted for op to compare what difference would be to stock. interesting to see it cut apart though. I thought these welds on my single x were ok, little porosity but it’s not food grade tubing. And my daughter could do better than this as well. lol. The ladies have great hand eye dexterity for tig.
I do see a bit of that mismatch like your showing on the cut one.

Will this make the car louder than it already is or just tone?

I just purchased one from another member for $150. Fingers crossed. Now I’m just trying to decide if I should cut the neck off or keep it on.

Perfect, let us know how much louder it is over stock. Those welds look decent too.

Dang I have a Corsa X and think it sounds great. Do you think they all have this bad of quality?

I have another unmolested CORSA double X and the crossovers are not mismatched looking at it visually and with a low grade borescope.
