Man this post got off topic lol. Don't think 0-5hp is worth bickering about. As long as a resonator delete doesn’t lose power then it’s all good in my book. I’ll report back here when I get the Shifteck X on the car 👍

15 mins? Let's not exaggerate lol
So I don't factor in putting car on hoist , drinking beer and smoking pot. Two guys one Milwaukee Hackzall , sharpie , tape measure couple of wrenches. Didn't time it put 15 maybe 20 mins. Very simple , measure twice cut once

Alright, complete exhaust rookie here, but I have a question for the group. I just got my hands on the shifteck pipe. Welds looks good, but the top of the optional neck section isn’t perfectly circular on one side. Would that affect the sound? I would like to keep the neck section so if it will affect sound I think the shop could cut off an inch of the neck as it isn’t slightly bent underneath.

Shouldn’t affect anything sound wise. As long as fitment is still ok you should be all good. Looks like it got dinged during packaging or shipment.

I figured I was overthinking it, but like I said I’m the furthest thing from an expert on this stuff. Thanks guys.

OP, any updates after install? Liking the sound?

I had the MBRP 3” pipe on my 350 for a few months, but recently pulled it off as I preferred the factory sound. Was hoping the narrower Shiftek pipe might offer a better “350R” sound.

I’ve been busy and havent had it on yet. I’ll definitely respond to the thread when I do!

Plot twist: Have an LTH X-pipe on order. I had heard complaints about the 2.5in tubing on the shifteck making a weird noise down low (like a trombone almost). I really liked it above 3k rpm, but then drove with a buddy and his 350 with the LTH X-pipe and it has a deeper yet still raspy noise that I prefer.

My car at 4:10

Buddies car at 6:50

I watch their videos pretty regularly, they get some awesome cars that end up sounding pretty darn good. I can do without some of the lawnmowers they show but to each their own.

Yeah some of the straight piped 4 cylinders and the like are painful to hear 😂 They do quality work. Would recommend them for anyone in the Tennessee area. I’ll be letting them install the LTH as well 👍

Much happier with the sound compared to shifteck. Sounds like stock but 20-30% louder in sport mode 👍
