I have a 2019 GT350 with a couple of bolt ons - JLT CAI, Soler 95mm throttle body, Fabspeed sport cats, and a Borla Atak exhaust with x pipe.

I recently got a Wengerd tune, as I've heard nothing but great things about them but have had multiple issues. We had issues loading the tunes that I won't get into. Issue resolved - no big deal.

However, I've put several hundred miles on the car and probably a dozen drive cycles and mutiple systems show a status of INCOMPLETE. I've been told that putting the car through various drive cycles will eventually replace those issues.

I am getting a P0430 code, which indicates an issue with the cats on bank2. This is very concerning since I just paid a ton of money for the sport cats 3 months ago and would be very disappointed if one went bad already.

I have read multiple solutions but want some feedback l from the community. Should the tune be tweaked to adjust for the P0430 code? Do I have a bad 02 sensor? Can I just install an 02 spacer to make the code go away (not sure if this is just masking an issue that should be addressed)?

I'm currently not receiving any response from Wengerd and not sure if I should reach out to Fabspeed. The cats performed flawlessly with no CEL until I put the tune on the car.

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

"sports cats" always throw P0430, I don't think there are any on the market right now that will keep it off for any significant length of time.

The only way to prevent that code is to keep the stock manifolds on.

The likelihood is in the converter and not the tune. They're most likely not bad, but not efficient enough for the sensor to keep the code at bay. Trying the extenders is certainly an option. It is also not like Derel to not reply unless he's just slammed. Even then, he usually puts something up on his FB page asking folks to please be patient. I cannot speak as to if he'll turn off the downstream O2's in the tune or not. Not too far back, the EPA cracked down on some of that, everyone freaked out, and a lot of tuners stopped doing it. But I've also read some of that has changed and backed waaayyy down. Haven't kept up with it enough to make an educated response on that one. He should answer tho. And the incompletes should work themselves out.

Get the code fixed, I would want to resolve that as well - But once you do, if the car runs great (and I'm quite certain it's running exceptional right now, even with the code) STOP looking for shit, lol.

I ditched the Soler before my tune. Not your issue, but Derel had never heard of it. I was on my third TB from those guys because problems, so that was enough for me to trash it.

Thank you for the detailed response. Ironically I got a response from Wengerd shortly after posting this thread. They're saying to put some 02 spacers on so I'll go that route. To your point about the car running well, it rips on E85 and I'm very happy with how it is running. And I actually wasn't looking for issues - I'm trying to get an inspection and can't with the codes and systems being incomplete. Once my inspection is passed, I'll be a very happy camper.

That'll work! I use O2 spacers and have no p0430 issues with my long tube headers and high flow cars on a Wengerd tune.

That's great news. Which O2 spacers are you using? Will the O2 spacers also allow the Oxygen Sensor and Oxygen Sensor Heater systems to clear for an inspection?

That's awesome. Thanks so much for your help. I'm buying them now. I'll report back if it fixes my issues after I get them on the car.

I ended up putting in the spacers as well. I was able to make my own from a thread found on the forums here. No CEL since.

And no emissions issues?

What long tubes and cats do you have. My car is tuned by VMP and they said because I have long tubes with high flow cats from stainless works it most likely will not show those as ready I have extensions on the back and have had them since I put long tubes on because I didn’t want to codes. I recently had to change out a rear hub and my ABS sensor got messed up so I had to reset the system a month before my tags were due.

I have LTH long tubes and their high flow eCof cats. Are your rear O2 sensors "on" to be monitored?

Yeah if I disconnect them, my engine light will turn on. Also my tune is VMP and they said they don’t turn off anything. 😵💫

Ok. Everything is turned on in my tune as well and all of my monitors are in a ready/green status. You might just need to drive more or check for O2 sensors to see if they need to be replaced.
