I didn't really feel like I lost anything down low. Down low feels the same. Once I hit 4,000rpm, it really starts to shine and continues to shine until 7500ish.
I'm installing a GT350 IM and LU47 this weekend. I hope you are right. Don't want to lose torque down low.

I don't think you'll notice any loss, after my install, my car keeps going and going, feels great.

Yes I know it isn't CARB compliant. But I'll deal with that when smog time comes. LEO's around my area are much quicker to look for cats than to pop a hood.

I like the JLT CAI, adds a nice look to the engine bay. Wasn't a fan of the GT350 CAI either, that's the reason I went with JLT. Do have to say though that sitting idle in traffic sure does make IAT climb pretty quickly. Only negative thing I have to say about it.
That's what Hot Air Intakes do!

I had this same question. My 2017 GT is my DD...No track or drag racing (except for occassional stop light wars). I have an axleback exhaust, but not going to do headers, supercharger, or any other major power adder. I'm wondering if I'd really benefit from the GT350 IM. Thinking i should just do a CAI and tune, and call it a day
Like previously mentioned, you'd really only benefit from it in higher RPMS (6500+). Unless you live your life 1/4 mile at a time on the streets you'll never be in that range.

I'd love to see a back to back GT350IM vs a stock GT Dyno overlay, but since a GT350 makes significantly more Tq than a GT above 3,500rpm, I'd be surprised if the 5.0 didn't see a torque benefit at 3,500rpm, so as long as you're above 3,500rpm, the GT350IM should be a benefit -which is more reasonable than your 6,500rpm figure (where did you get that number by the way?).

I think he mentioned the 6500rpm figure because that's the range and above where a lot of the added hp comes from.
