And they get 32 mpg on the highway... :p
And there are more mullets driving vettes and more vettes are seen getting senior discounts at McDonalds.

Vettes can't hang with the cool kids...membership denied!!!:ford:

I'll bet the gt350 still hits 60 in under 4 seconds, I'm betting on it being faster than the boss.

2nd and 3rd gear pulls on the highway will be a blasty blast in this car.

I want to hit the top speed and I will, there are plenty of places around austin/central Texas to do this....like my own back yard on 171/McNeil road. A nice loooong straight.:ninja:

I just hope it has the grunt and drag coefficient to pull that off before I run out of road.

Out of all the C7 owners I have seen around my area, only one has been the stereotypical old fart soft footing around with the baffles closed. The majority I see are probably in their mid to late 30s. I'm 28 and I almost bought one.

There is a gentleman at my autocross chapter that has one in the exact same configuration I wanted. He's 60. But the difference is he rips on that beotch. Hard. Not the stereotypical Vette owner lol. Wish I had some video to share because it's a riot to watch.

The C7 really changed the Vette stereotype IMO, just as the S550 is changing the Mustang stereotype. Both cars are appealing to a much wider audience than before.

To clarify, I don't think the Mustang had such a strong stereotype about the owners like the Vette did, but I do think there were some stereotypes about the car itself that are being changed.

The C7 is a car without excuses now.

Mustang stereotypes...yeah the redneck thing. Camaros and mullets. Mustangs? Well... "Five point oh? You must be the fastest guy in the trailer park!"

Does anyone know what the top speed of a GT350 is in 4th gear when using 305/30/19s?

6th gear is so tall, it may lose speed when shifted into 6th and you get a 3000 drop in RPM ... depending on how much HP is developed at 5000 RPM.

Seriously.

I've experienced this first hand running my 3.73-geared 2011 GT at the Texas Mile. Hit 154mph in 5th gear then shifted to 6th and actually slowed to 151mph at the finish. 2nd run I just held 5th gear and crossed the line at 154mph.
I agree. I've gone into 130+ mph once, then shifted from 5th to 6th, and it seemed like all torque was lost.
6th gear is simply a gas economy gear. Good if I want to say I can get 20+ mph in this car. But I prefer getting my 10 mph, and enjoying the power when in the 6K+ rpm range.
