Hey Guys,

I tried searching to find my answers, but no dice. I’m trying to track down where I can buy the exhaust actuators from the GT350. I picked up a GT350 exhaust to install on my GT, but would like to have the option of being “active”. The plan would be to mod the motor to hook up to a switch installed on the dash.

Everywhere I’ve looked, it seems most just reuse their 350 actuator, or when ordering the 2018 mufflers - it comes with them.

I managed to find some photos, but not anywhere to actually buy them. They’re made by Kuster, but that’s all I can find.

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Thanks Benny. Thats a painful price, especially when I need 2, and then have to hack them up.

Do you know if they sell the components from the Ford Performance by Borla (ie: the motors and the keyfob/wiring?) - thats effectively exactly what I need to build.

Not sure you would have to hack them up, the GT 350 is open or closed not a true active exhaust like the 2018 GT.

I thought I would have to “hack them up” in order to wire them to a switch. The stock exhaust i thought was linked to an exhaust switch on the GT350 that I wouldn’t have on my GT. So to do that, I would need to crack the motors open to add wiring to run to a switch (at least, that’s what I think i’d have to do)

Mike,
Don't quote me on this, the 2018 active exhaust has a variable circuit in the exhaust valve that runs off the PCM. The GT350 has a toggle switch to open and close the valves I think you would only need the pig tail plug to splice into. Check with a Ford service tech at your local dealer they should know if its possible. I'm sure some one here would know, I just don't know how you would search it.

There’s a kit that goes in the trunk when you install gt350 exhaust on a gt. Look at the install instructions on americanmuscle or one of the other sites so you see what I mean.

As for the actuators eBay is your best bet.
