I recently started getting an intermittent error code about a "Driver Selectable Suspension Malfunction".

I brought it back to my dealer to get it checked out, but they said that they needed to catch it in the act and they didn't see it after driving around or stopping and restarting the car 10 times or so.

It only seems to be happening while the car is at operating temperature. And the message can appear while driving or when the car starts after recently being driven.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so, what was the cause or fix?

Intermittent issue could be connector related, or maybe sensor related. It's a long shot, but you could double check the cable connections.

You'd think they could pull the codes. You have a picture of the message, that should be enough.

Sure, but if it's a Yaw Rate Sensor that took a shit the computer can't do it's job controlling the magneride.

Bumping this thread to see if this was ever solved or if anyone else has experienced this issue. Second day I've had my car and was on the highway cruising in 6th gear at about 75 in sport mode when all of a sudden I heard the exhaust note change. Looked down and it had kicked me out of sport mode with this message

kuta,

I had the same problem, not long after getting the vehicle. The exhaust note change was definitely because the car switched back the normal drive setting. At that point, you cannot select the damper mode or the drive mode.

My solution was just to take it to a local dealer near me that seemed competent enough, have them check out the problem (which turned out to be just a faulty damper, as opposed to a faulty suspension control module or the wiring between them), order a replacement part, and swap it out whenever it arrived.

All of it should be covered under the warranty so the only trouble is taking it in and getting around town while they fix it.

Hope it helps!

Thanks Protocos, yah I realized it had kicked out of sport from the sound, thought I accidentally had done it but saw that on the screen when I looked down. Was planning on taking it in in the morning so hopefully its the same situation with no other hiccups.

There is a way to get into the magnaride diagnostics mode but for the life of me I can't remember how to get to it, But it will appear on the center display.

I got the Suspension Malfunction notification on my car this afternoon. I have a little over 3,300 miles. It felt like the car went to Sport suspension mode, but I could still select the exhaust mode. I have an appointment to get it checked out May 17th.

I had it and with the exhaust as well.

It is a couple of sensors that need to be replaced. My suspension one is getting replaced tomorrow and the exhaust next week.
