Here's a pic of the restrictor plates added to the GT4 Mustangs. I got this from Dean Martin's (owner of Kohr Motorsports) FB feed page.

I watched the GT3 Mutangs rear wing, do the hula when on track...........
I see one wing failed and the deck lids blew off.

The restrictors limit the engine to 550 hp and that is monitored by torque sensors on the rear axel shaft.

I see no Mustangs in the top ten in the Michelin Pilot challenge race results.........

dismal

Probably my biggest dislike on Mustang GT3 is that weird (to me) wing mount. Add to the mix that the wing was bouncing around from lap one and then having it break too. Car would look so much better with a "normal" mount more below the wing, off the trunk frame area instead of mounted to the dashboard (seemingly). I understand function first and form second but it appears this fails on both counts.

Actually the entire wing design was based off of drawings the team did for the GTD and then they decided it looked cool on the street car and implemented it on the race car. This was a form over function decision that they did their best with.

I noticed in the early testing that the wing was moving a lot. I'm sure over a 24 hour race this is going to lead to issues. Look at the first few seconds of this video and how much the entire rear wing structure is bobbling around over this curbing.

The trunk lids and diffusor were all taken out by being hit by GTP's. I think the rear wing was part of that as well, but not as sure. It does look like they need to stiffen those supports, though. If anything, it can't be good for aero stability, but I bet it makes a better number in the tunnel.

I like to disassemble things.
Really digging the GT3 effort. Some tweaking on a screen shot I pulled.

There is *a lot* going on here. Dual wishbone, dual Rate setup (the real version of 'dual rate springs') with what appears to be active hydraulic ride control and active damping control (I'm assuming that spins the needles open and shut).

Are you *sure* about that Multimatic? At least the control arms are pretty.

Correct, complex and looks super trick.
GT3 must be a joy to drive, smiles from ear to ear.

GTD as well, great times.

The GTD was on display here at the Chicago Auto Show back in mid February. Was really hoping to go see it up close but never made it. Looks awesome
