Make sure the EB has a PP, makes a big difference! I'm glad I got the premium pack over the base, love the creature comforts.

I'm at the market for a new car and initially wanted V6. So I created an account at the forum and now I'm torn between V6 and V8.
I absolutely understand that V6 is the absolute bang for the buck. But I also test drove the V8, liked it. Is ~1sec 0-60 difference worth ~$10K?
After browsing the forum now i feel like driving V6 I will always experience feeling of not driving V8. And almost like people around will remind me about not driving V8.... although I think that mostly only mustang followers will really know about differences.
Well the insurance really depends. I pay less on full coverage of my EB than I did for my 15 year old impala. I went up like 7 dollars per 6 months from my V6. Right now I pay $87 a month for full coverage for my EB, when I was quoted $210 for a GT.I lost a lot on my 14 V6 when I traded it in after only owning it for about 13
months. I thought the change was worth it. People on here create a narrative with justification posts but I don't see where some of the numbers come from. There is no 10mpg difference which people lie about. Double insurance rates? No.
You have to decide what you want yourself.
You can't say for sure about insurance rates. Since they vary from person to person and trim level to trim level, it's very possible it could be double.I lost a lot on my 14 V6 when I traded it in after only owning it for about 13

You're averaging 33? Sounds like you need to have more fun.You can't say for sure about insurance rates. Since they vary from person to person and trim level to trim level, it's very possible it could be double.
And yes, there's a chunk of difference in gas mileage. I'm averaging 33mpg this tank so far. GT best is what like 26?
I believe my last average for a 500 mile trip to mother's was low 33's. In city I average just over 23. That's with very little easy driving lol. You're averaging 33? Sounds like you need to have more fun.
But just as a comparison, I have gotten a best of 29.5 on an all highway trip of about 350 miles, not hypermiling it (72+ mph the whole way). Usual weekly average? 16, but that's more than 50% city, driving quite spirited.
Not gonna have too much fun while it's raining outside. That would be stupid. You're averaging 33? Sounds like you need to have more fun.

I disagree at least based on my experience. When I run 91 or 94 where I live I get significantly better gas milage hence more than makes up for the added cost of 'premium' fuel.If you are going to run premium gas in the EB you are not going to save that much in fuel cost.
The entire gas mileage argument has been stupid since there has been Sports cars. If you want cheap insurance and good gas mileage. Buy a Nissan Versa! You don't buy a Mustang, Camaro, Corvette, ETC to get 27MPG. I average 12MPG. Because I drive the car, like it's ment to be driven! It sounds like the OP is a young guy that trades cars a lot. I was the same way back in the 80s. You'll fine any excuse to trade cars every year. If that's your mind set.
It's also worth noting the trend toward I4 Turbos could also be attributed to European countries like Germany who has asinine petrol tax which is tax on displacement and not tax by MPG.No way! Cars is one area where you can have your cake and eat it too.
A lot of people disagree with you. That's why the market is flooded with high performance turbo 4s. The power of a v8 with the gas mileage of an I4.
If you hammered both the Eco and GT all day long, you'd still get much better mileage out of the Eco.The Premium's touchscreen is really the only thing I bought it for. but as for the insurance reasons, most peoples rates stayed rather close from EB to GT. If gas prices is really a problem, I'd advise you look at another car.. Also what kind of driving do you do? Turbo 4's are 'efficient' when its not in boost but if you're gonna hammer it the MPG's gonna go down fast.

I've owned a high performance turbo 4. If you drive it like a high performance car. The gas mileage completely sucks! The 400WHP SRT-4, I owned averaged 16 miles to the gallon. If you have to stay out of the boost you might as well get an economy car. If you want V8 power in a 4 banger. You have to keep the throttle to the floor! And even then you only have the power of a v8 car from 2004.No way! Cars is one area where you can have your cake and eat it too.

Damn you got me beat! I'm averaging 13.3 MPG and not complaining a bit! Love the power and sound, only prob is I need more poWERThe entire gas mileage argument has been stupid since there has been Sports cars. If you want cheap insurance and good gas mileage.
