I've got to know. Is it just me? Back on 2/14 a thread was posted "Anyone else fed up with consumers reports?" in it people started talking about their mileage around town. They were stating 16.5, 17, even 19. My 16 and 19 aren't that far apart in mileage for me. I get around town 12.5 to 13.5 respectively. Is my foot that heavy?
What I want is for you to tell me your mileage, usual drive mode and the area of the country your at. See if there is some sort of relationship with the demographics. After all here in SoCal we have to pay a premium for our gas because it is refined differently then the gas in other states, (or so they say). Are we being screwed here in CA? And if so, how does this help with the pollution if I'm burning more gas with the same vehicle then those in other states?

With my 17 intake & CMCV intact 3.31 gears 94 octane 17 mpg city. With a 2020 intake CMCV locked out 3.73 gears 91 octane 16.7 mpg so far. Edit: I'm in the Great White North.

Never heard of CA blending fuel differently than other states - all I could think is maybe a higher ethanol content maybe? That'll tank fuel economy, especially with E85. Another aspect may be elevation and what your route is. Otherwise I'd say you do have a leadfoot lol. I've peeked at some customer's mileage on their stock A10 GT's and I've sen 20-21 mpg, which is roughly what my HPP manual gets around town. Pretty damn good for 460HP on tap.

Call me crazy but I've managed to get 29.6 mpg going from WV back to ohio after a group cruise. I had 93 in the tank A10 with 3.15s. Trick is using good gas and cruise control.

I'm mostly in town and rural 2 lanes with elevation changes and 35 to 45 MPH speed limits.

My current tank of 93 shows 19.6

My avg since I'v owned the car is 18.7 That number is with many tanks of E85.

I don't baby the car but I don't hot rod it either.

I will also say your MPG number will go down if you warm your car up Alot. I usually reset mine when going on a trip as the car is actually in motion the whole time.

It really depends on where I am driving. 2016 M6 3.73 gears, 18 mani locked out, tune, longtube FFE etc. Stop and go traffic in town is around 16-17mpg. Open road driving with limited stops will get 18-19. Interstate running 75-80 is 22-23, if I go down south where it is flat I have seen 25.5mpg as best tank ever.

Didn't think to add the rear gear ratio. My 16 has 3:73 with A6 (it was modified from 3:15). The 19 since it is a PP1 has the 3:55 A10. I run strictly 91 octane and drive primarily in Sport+. How you guys are getting the mileage you do, is beyond me. I just don't get it.

The longtube headers FFE netted me 1-2mpg increase, especially on the highway. For example first year I took it to Mustang Week in Myrtle Beach I got around 22-23mpg, next year with the mods listed above I got the 25.5mpg.

Another thing about the 19 is that I got the Ford Performance calibration kit that include a 87mm throttle body. Increase hp to about 480 and torque to about 440. Still before I upgraded it the mpg wasn't that much better.

This is California, no long-tube headers allowed. Unless you use it only for the track and don't drive it on the street.
