get it into 6th gear and quit leaving it in 5th all the time or winding out gears to much just because it makes your exhaust louder lol and 19-20 in town is easy and 24 on interstate.
24 on the Interstate maybe, but lol at 19-20 in town. I'm lucky if I get 10 in town; on my commute this morning I got 5 mpg (took 50 minutes to drive 6 miles).

So far through 1800ish miles I am at 19.7. And that has not changed in the last 1000 miles.

Same. I find that my right foot isn't as heavy as it used to be.. I must be getting older..
I am in the same boat. I went out today and intentionally drove like I ALWAYS drove my 89 LX 5,0 when it was new. Cruising in 2nd and 3rd, shifting at 4000 to 5000, downshifting to lights. It was fun. ALso watched my mpg for this tank fall from 25.2 to 22.9, LOL. Didn't take long!

But dang, that Coyote revs like a dentist's drill! SO smooth and powerful. For a guy raised on Windsor 5.0s it's a revelation.

I still have the factory exhaust. I found myself looking for a way to turn up the volume today. We'll have to see how that goes. I don't need the cost or volume of a Stainlessworks system, but some of that tone would be awesome.

I have 900 miles on mine so far and all my driving is stop and go traffic. It stays at 15.5 avg mpg and I drive it however I want to. Well see what kind of mileage it can get in July on the way to Mustang Week, about a 3 hour drive.

Nearing 1800 miles on the odometer and the car averages 16.9mpg no matter how I drive it. Generally town (lots of stoplights), freeway, and interstate mix, with regular throttle hits to remind me how fun this car really is. I'm almost wondering if the virtual gauge is "stuck." :headbonk:

Are you resetting the MPG readout every time you fill-up? If not, then the longer you go the more it will come to some average number and stay there.

I've done a lot of miles driving this way in coyote mustangs and my long term average is 17.0. It takes a concentrated effort for many long drives to get it up or down more than .1 mpg for me.

For my daily driving, mine is getting around 22 mpg. I drive 24 miles to work - one way. But in this route, I do have a 5 mile stretch and a 6 mile stretch without stops.

As long as I don't have to sit at idle for a long time waiting on my wife to come out from her work, it doesn't drop below 21. But, if I do wait long, I can watch the numbers drop.

I went on a 30min highway trip yesterday and came home at 31MPG GT with 3.55. Over 1800mi my average is 22.7MPG. Id say that's pretty damn good

here are some legit #s. 70/30 highway/city. 40 mins highway (sometimes traffic) and 20 mins local one way 50 mile commute to work, 5 days per week.

trip 1 is lifetime, trip 2 is after i started driving normally after break-in. although i've gone through some WOT runs at 500 miles.

Thanks, I have almost the exact same commute setup (50 miles each way, 30min city/30min highway) and I plan to get the GT w/PP so this is probably the closest represenative example I've seen of what I'll probably average. I currently get 21-22mpg in my S197 so this makes sense.

you're welcome. i don't drive like a grandpa either. i shift at 3k min and have constant WOT romps while merging and on entrance/exit ramps.
