I tried this too, on my DMG GT/CS. I sent it back due to the very cheap plastic material and poor finish. The product definitely falls short of the quality that I expected. Disappointment, for sure!Installed Drake GT fuel door cover not sure if like it or not

The money comment wasn't directed towards you, more in general.Wow what a Dick
Is that true? Most badges are "stick on" these days.hell, i wish i'd remove my 5.0 badges if i could but they got holes under em.
positive. 2 holes in the fender. Is that true? Most badges are "stick on" these days.
My GT/CS does not have 5.0 badges and I would certainly want to pull them off too if it did. I pulled all the crap badges off my E85 BMW. I will probably pull the GT/CS side stripes at some point and replace the rear decklid pane with the Steeda blank one.
That sucks! You gotta wonder why Ford would do that? Doesn't that make the GT fenders unique parts that then requires more logistics and inventory control on the assembly line (vs adding stickers or not as required)?positive. 2 holes in the fender.
I like it on my viperI agree with the above that the stock option looks better. Ford put effort into the design of the fuel door so that it blends in with the rear lines of the car and disappears as much as possible. I personally have never understood the desire to bring attention to a vehicle's fuel door, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all.
If remember right, back then I had to do a lot of wrenching just to keep my cars running. Mods like uni-lug Cragars, used air shocks, flipping the lid on my air cleaner upside down, hand-me-down very loud sound systems (playing Zeppelin), furry dashes, and other zero cost nonsense were loads of fun. I think the fuel door door thing is that same spirit, alive and kickin. Why do anything to a fuel door? 'Cause it might look cool, of course! (I never plan to grow up!) LolThe money comment wasn't directed towards you, more in general.
When I was younger and had my first car, I modded my fuel door too but I couldn't afford sh*t back then.
Looking back now, I can't understand why I felt I needed to do that. It's just a fuel door....why do anything to it?
I've got the same one, in a different blue. It's subtle and most people don't notice it. The Drake door stands out. It all depends on what you're going for. Most of the fuel doors out there look like they belong on a hand me down honda civic. I found one on American muscle that I thought looked classy, but has since been discontinued. It came prepainted in the color of your choice and was a buck 30 back in 17 when I got it.
