Maybe I should do it then. Need to find a good installer though because I'm sure if for instance they dont properly clean the car before applying, it will be a mess.

How much did you guys pay for it?
Mine is getting done right now.

The piece of mind alone is worth it.

No hairlines or swirls to worry about?

I'm basically giddy with relief.

At this point I'm doing near to the whole car. It'll be about 4K.

Got my car and drove it all day.

Yes I know you want to see pictures, I have lots but not with my M5. I'm sure if I post the pictures here, no one will believe it's real, the only way you'll believe me is if I post a picture of both cars side by side. I will do that as soon as I can.

Anyways, here is what I think:

- I have received more attention in 24 hours in this car than I have all years of my BMW M cars driving combined
- The sound is insane
- The suspension is amazing, in normal mode its more comfortable than my M5 in Comfort, in sport mode, it's stiffer than my M5 by a long shot
- The features (apple play, navigation, dual zone A/C, etc) is just simply unreal for a car at this price point
- Clutch is very soft
- Transmission is the best I have seen and I have driven the metzger 997 GT3s and the new GT4. This is better than both cars

My only true gripe is and it's not really a fault of the car, but let's call it "wish list", is BMW has this cool feature where when you put the car in reverse, the side view mirror tilts down, I wish this car had that feature.

Overall, I am extremely happy. I am also so glad that I didn't get the R, I cannot imagine how I would DD that car seeing how loud this car is and how many times I have already scraped the undercarriage even after trying a 45 degree exit angle.

One last word, thank you for putting up with me all these months. In the end, I am truly happy and I am smiling.

Oh and before I leave, my car's paint is perfect, believe it or not my panel gaps are all spot on (front bumper, back bumper, all quarter panels). It's almost like Ford heard all my complaints and made this perfect car for me and said "give us another chance".

Alright, I am going to go look at the car again sitting my garage. So cool right next to my M5!:)

Thanks guys:)

If Ford did actually read your posts - it would be painted like this:

MCarsFan, Congrats! I'm pumped for ya...hope you enjoy it!
:ford:

Xpel is great protection and thicker. Better on light colored cars IMHO. I have that on my Hellcat....well worth it. Use Suntek on the Durango since it's a darker color and hides the line across the hood better than Xpel. Xpel is "self healing" and with 20k miles on my HC...looks brand new.

Not sure how I missed this thread last night, I think it should be moved to a "sticky".

Lastly, I was literally laughing out loud when y'all were making OP post pictures and move water bottles. Fvckin' well done! Almost felt bad for M....trying so hard to be accepted into the group....hahahah

Geez guys, give the OP a break.

Now instead of bashing him for being a wantabe, you can spend more time talking about ADMs and how crappy non track cars are....

Got to admire your perseverance Mcarsfan! With all the abuse you have taken over the last few months and you still come on here and banter with the peanut gallery?

My hat is off to you...
I hope the GT350 is rewarding enough for you.

Cheers

Guys,

Thanks for all the nice words, I just started her this morning and took it for a drive. What a car, what a car...

The XPEL however is a problem, I got quoted $1500-2000 just the front end and nothing is 100% guaranteed that it will save the paint? It's a lot of money to be honest, I could probably get the bumper repainted 3 times for the cost of that XPEL job?

And entire car is around $4000-5000.
