While driving home from work last month my 2015 GT convertible was hit and totaled. The other driver ran a red light and slammed into the front driver side fender. Thanks to the excellent brakes I was able to stop just enough to avoid being hit directly in the driver side door. Fortunately no one was hurt but my car was totaled. I had presumed it would be a total loss due to the extensive damage, 101k miles and 10 years old. I haven’t contributed much to this forum recently but have enjoyed reading the posts over the years. Thanks to everyone who commented on my posts and good luck and safe driving to all.

Ouch. Glad no one was hurt.

I take it you're not looking into getting another Mustang?
I tested a 2025 GT convertible, but didn’t like it as much as my old one, I really didn’t like the touch screen dash that was difficult to navigate and highly distracting. I felt like I would be the one running the red light with that one!

Sorry about your misfortune, and glad you're alright. I'm with you on the S650 dash. Maybe you can find a low mileage S550.

I understand. I wouldn't want a S650 either. lol I'd probably got for another S550 if I got another.

Perhaps I will. For now I’m in a Genesis GV70, pretty much the complete opposite of the Mustang!! It’s more of a practical thing since I have been using my wife’s Acura MDX a lot to move items across town. Although you would be surprised at how much stuff you can get in the convertible if you put the top down and pack it! I had planned to get the Genesis and keep the Mustang as my ā€œfun carā€, but my hand was forced by the wreck to buy it a bit sooner than I planned.

hope everyone is ok, and maybe it’s time for a GT350/500 to keep the dream alive šŸ˜Ž

Mustangs can certainly take the hits and protect occupants! You're gonna miss the convertible Ecoboost are cheap, quiet and great cruisers.

OMG yikes!!! Glad you were kept safe
That REALLY sucks
Hate to see you go
But it does open the door to experience other very fun and rewarding sports cars
Some say "Miata is always the answer" and I don't disagree with that, especially with an added turbo...
