I'm sure this has been answered before, but after searching, I can't find everything I'm looking for.

I bought a set of the Ford Performance PP2 style wheels in 19"x9.5" (front) and 19"x10" (rear) a few years ago and mounted my MPS4S tires on them. I'm desperately in need of front tires, as I have a toe issue and my tires are cording on the inner edge. I'd like to be able to eliminate the staggered setup so I can rotate all four tires evenly, but do not want to have to purchase all new wheels. I'm currently running a 25mm bolt on spacer at all four corners.

Does my plan below make sense:
- Purchase 2x 19"x10" rear wheels for front
- Use 5mm spacer in front to clear suspension
- MPS4S tires in 295/35/19

Will the 295s be too wide for a 10" wheel? Michelin says it's ok, some people say it'll look pinched, and as always, there are 100 different opinions on the matter.

Im not sure about the Michelin tires but I run a nitto 555g2 295 on 10" pp2 style rims up front and it fits great. I also have 5mm spacers. No issues with rubbing.

Thanks for confirmation. What aspect ratio are you running?

look at the 'measured rim width' for the tire you want to run. That will specify the ideal rim width you want your wheels to be.

The different brands and different sizes all have a sweet spot. For instance a 285/35/20 might be for a 10 inch wheel. But a 275/30/19 might be for a 10 in wheel for its sweet spot.

Make sure you look at the details before making a choice.

Rim width range for the 295/35/19 shows 10-11.5" with a measured rim width of 10.5".

If you want to save money, you can run the non-equal-width rims you have now, but put same size tires on them. Hardly noticeable aesthetically. You'd just have to keep track of them and use appropriate spacers when rotating.

Boom, there you go, you want to get a 10.5" wheel if you are set on running 295/35/19.
So don't treat me like an idiot. I might be one, but still...

I'm not sure I understand the distinction between these two metrics. My assumption is that measured rim width is the actual width of the tire before it is mounted, and rim width range is the potential width rims that you could run. A more narrow wheel, in this case, 10", would cause the sidewalls to bulge slightly because the tire is being pinched, while a wider wheel, like 11.5" would cause the sidewalls to bow slightly to take up the additional 1".

I haven't made any hard decisions on tires yet. The 295/35/19 PS4S is out of stock at Costco Tires right now, so I've only ordered the additional 10" wheels.

Unfortunately, Michelin doesn't seem to make the PS4S in 285/40/19, so I'd need to go 285/35/19, which makes the speedo off. I have a tuner, so I'd be able to change that, just annoying.

I'm not a complete idiot either - still missing a few parts. (Ba-dum, tishhh)

I have 3 sets of wheels: 255/40 A/S, 275/40 summer, and track wheels. The track wheels run tires from 305/30 to 305/35 to 315/30.

I recalibrated my speedo for the A/S wheel set and I rarely run them anymore! So my speedo is always off, haha. And I prefer to drive to and from the track with my track wheels and alignment on the car.

I suspect that cars from the factories have a calibration that is slightly slower than actual. Going to a slightly larger tire diameter might make the speedo closer to actual. If you are concerned about your actual speed being higher than shown, then I would recalibrate for your largest size tire.

305/19/30s up front, 325/30/19s on the rear. Wheels are the SVE PP2 knockoffs 10's front, 11s rear. This all fits over the GT350R brake kit (M-2300-Y). Tires are Conti ExtremeContact Sport 02s. These are great freaking overall tires for street, had a great track day as well at HPR. ESS boosted G2 and these hook. I hope all of this helps someone. I had to chance that the tires would fit the wheels and the wheels would fit over the breaks.

The speedo is barely off and yes you can correct for it. Run the 285 and try for 0.05 toe in on the front to help with the inside edge wear there.

285/35 is a spot on size with the MP4S and fit perfect on 10s.
