"My buddy had issues with his Lund tune on his ESS Gen 2 car, switched to Wengerd and has 0 issues now. Alex Flores was the original tuner." - I also have a gen 2 ESS car. Went ESS based on a Lund recommendation (Nardi I think). Had a problem during the process that had me pulling my hair out...
305/19/30s up front, 325/30/19s on the rear. Wheels are the SVE PP2 knockoffs 10's front, 11s rear. This all fits over the GT350R brake kit (M-2300-Y). Tires are Conti ExtremeContact Sport 02s. These are great freaking overall tires for street, had a great track day as well at HPR. ESS boosted...
Pretty sure I did my ESS kit, Kooks headers, FIC1000, plugs, boost a pump, triple core rad and tune for that $9200. The headers were the only tough part but doable on jack stands in a -25 degree garage. I'm definitely happy with the results. The Cat-back was already on and I did go back and...
I live in a small community with a huge car culture. It's only the young kids in the 200hp shit-boxes that ever try to race each other in town. Lots of nice vintage muscle cars around and the annual car show brings in everything you can imagine under the sun short of supercars. I seem to be the...
I'm an electrician in a smaller community in Colorado and we can't seem to find any young people who want to get in this trade. Every other year I get a new 20 something apprentice who basically just audits the job and then moves on. I'm the second youngest of our 6 electricians at age 48. It...
I just want to say thanks to everyone who has stopped by and offered their 2 cents. The advice really helps as there's a lot of options out there and I'm looking to get this right the first time.
I've been wanting to upgrade from my base 17' GT manual to a magneride GT350. Wifey has convinced me to keep our paid for beloved car however. Every time I test drive a car that I think I'll like better, I find that I don't.
So how I use my car: several times during the summer I take a route...
Very pleased with the AWE touring cat-back on my 17 manual gt. Someone here said it sounds good with long tubes as well which is nice to hear. Listened to a lot of sound clips and it was down to the Corsa sport or AWE touring for me. In some of the clips I listened to the the Corsa sounded...
Have a 17 stick: Lose the clutch assist spring so you can feel what's going on. A real clutch should be a workout for your left leg anyway. My car shifts smoothest between 3 and 4k. Good luck, have fun!
