Global window operation via remote control the manual says to push unlock button once. Windows roll down but can you roll them up with the remote? Ford has a video on you tube showing you can but doesn’t work on my car.

Nothing, besides you push twice and hold on the 2nd push. there is NO auto roll up, at least up to '17.

Push and hold on the 2nd press, nope global up is not on my 18. Had it on a 13 fusion. Not sure why they dropped it

Yeah, would be nice if we could roll em' back up by remote too. But oh well. I'm just glad on my '16 GT that I can vent that hot ass car as I walk up to it when I'm going home from work. I'm already working outside in this heat so getting into a baking car is extra miserable. If I had gone automatic instead of manual I definitely would have sprung for remote start just so the air could kick on before I get in lol! But I enjoy driving a manual more than remote starting my car for convenience.

I fought with the global window for a while reading people's instructions online. Double-tap and hold for 3 seconds, 5 seconds, etc. Nah, double-tap and hold until you see the window start rolling down. Don't count off or you'll just release the button too early and fight it.

I love this feature, but do agree that the ability to have the windows go back up would be nice for those rare occurrences where you’d need to.
The best thing about this feature is that 90% of cars made after 2011 seem to have it, regardless of brand, and I’m always making those owners go “I had no idea my car could do that”. My fiancé’s Infiniti M56x does it, as does my dad’s Acura TLX (of which he argued there was “no such feature” on his car till I took his key FOB and tried it... and it worked on all 4 windows + the sun roof :giggle:).

This has been my experience too. Apparently Ford used to have the global roll up feature as evidenced by their “how too” video on the net.

Ford still does have that feature available on other models. For whatever reason, they did not put the necessary anti-pinch sensors in the S550 to allow remote-up windows to be included.
