ok update i have let car warm up to temp in drive in track mode trans in drive ,cars level
still stays gray

Hmm I tried it in my automatic the other day and it worked fine. Didn't burn the tires just because I don't want to ruin them but it locked the front brakes and I let it catch before I released it
