hadn't take the airbag off yet, wanted to take the car out to date night with the wife. I'm working all weekend so I'll take it apart this afternoon

The way I look at this…you cooked an incredible Michelin star level 6 course meal, everything turned out perfectly, but you put the wrong size forks on the table…in the grand scheme of what you just accomplished, I’m sure that will be forgotten…good luck!!

Hello; Now that you ask, I do not know. The OP posted an oil analysis which, if i read correctly, came up clean for things like copper. A theory was floated about an oil additive which seems to fit in that the oil analysis report was fairly clean.
Fingers crossed for the OP to have a trouble free future with the engine.

I am glad everything sorted out perfectly! Well done. I came across this post because I was seeing the glitter on my oil change but less than what you had, my car has done just 25k miles. Now I am assured there is nothing wrong with my car I believe I had the same case with previous owner not adding the correct oil may be once. The engine might be getting rid with the previous oil added. As each time I change oil the oil gets less glittery.

Honestly no, all your findings has the answers for my questions I read all your posts from 1-17, so technically you saved my life :) as I am not facing any issues on the car so far (knock on wood). However, I will start using amsoil from the next oil change as currently I am using MC. Thanks for all your dedicated work.

Yikes ok, I'd wanna see the bearings myself, especially if you aren't sure what oil or possible additives are in there. Just because I lucked out doesn't mean you will. I mean I hope you will, but I was too paranoid to NOT visually inspect what I could myself.

I hope I don’t see this day coming soon enough to open up as you did! That was a hell of a job. My concern was very little tbh, I just wanted to know what would be the reason, when I saw your post I think I am way more behind as my oil wasn’t that glittery and during oil changes it’s almost getting more cleaner. Wish you best of luck with your GT350 and enjoy it!! We will never get another chance driving this car !
