Gen 1 coyote 10R80 swap?

Hey guys, quick question. I’ve got a Gen 1 Whipple Coyote with a 6R80 auto and I’ve been thinking about swapping it to a 10-speed since it’s mainly a roll car. Has anyone here done the swap before? I know it’s not the most common thing but I’m curious what all is needed and if it’s even worth it compared to just sticking with the 6R80. Any info or experience would help, thanks.

not a fan of any mustang after the s197 body style, unless it’s a gt500.

I’m curious on this as well. I want to swap my 16 MT82 over to the 10R80

Seems like you would have to swap a whole gen 3 drivetrain over for the best result

That’s pretty much what I have figured out. Which really sucks. I’m fine with my gen2 engine. Well looks like I’ll be sticking to my mt82

Can you control that with the factory ECU? I have seen people running them in swaps using an Holley ECU and whatever TCM the ZF uses

Not sure, if I had to guess probably not. But they seem to be popping up a lot on various swaps.

The GT350/ZF8 swap thread gave me ideas (not to mention I love the one in my Jeep JL and would like one in both my Mustang and F150)....
