Ford would be leaving money on the table not coming up with some kind of kit that can run the 10r80 in anything but the gen 3+. There are a lot of people who want that transmission

Already talked to FP about this a while ago and it only works with the Gen 3 Coyote. So you pretty much have to swap out the entire powertrain, computer including, for this to work in a 15-17 car.

This is a good deal for someone with a roller/BIW that needs to buy everything...but for someone with a running car it's probably not worth it and easier to just trade into an 18+ car.

I'm thinking that a converter swap maybe bridges the gap between the 6 and 10? I know drivability won't be as ideal as with the ten but it would be better than nothing, no?

You can get an entire power train /drive train to swap in for $8K . Looks like it includes everything to swap in the engine /trans .
