Gear Selector Lights on A10?

Probably a dumb question but for the A10, should their be lights to show the gear selection ( R, N, D, S....)?

I just noticed on my 22 GT that there really is nothing in that area that indicates the gear, not a big deal but just curious.

only place it shows the gear selection on my 2019 is on the dash/gauge cluster. nothing down on the center console near the actual shifter itself. i think maybe '18 cars it lit up by the gear shifter and not after that? maybe someone else will confirm. but i dont think there is anything abnormal with yours.

My '18 lights both in the dash and beside the shifter. I wouldn't miss the ones by the shifter, I always look at the dash...

Can’t speak for the GT but I just put a new shifter in my M1 and it did not have lights or any connector to disconnect when I was swapping my shifter out like I saw in a video for a GT. Just the cluster indicator for mine. May have changed that on some 18s or on 19+ models.

The 10R80 shifter plate illumination was deleted by Ford production sometime in the late 2018 model run. 2019 and forward, that illumination does not exist and according to many who’ve posted similar threads on here, there isn’t any harness under the shifter plate or console for the console plate illumination. Ford also deleted the illumination from the forward USB by the media center starting in 2019.

I’m sure someone can add a simple 2-wire LED to the 10R80 shifter plate by tapping into the lighted cup holder wires if one desires night time illumination.

Starting on my year, 2019 they only put one horn instead of two, the A10 console drive selector is not illuminated and other cost saving changes they made figuring people were to stupid to notice. Do you have a light in your glove box?,

Good point, no glove box light either, lol. I am just going to pretend those things were traded for my lighted door sills, which are pretty cool.

Yep starting 2019 they are gone. Absolute stupidity by Ford.

Does anyone know if the wiring is still there and could you possibly order the wire and socket from the dealer?
