I knowingly traded a nice 35mpg Accord in on my GT last month…..I quit worrying about gas once the ink dried. I cannot control it and gotta have it.
$3.77-$3.94 here in Va. There are many things to love about CA I am sure, but the gas tax is not one of them. Somebody’s gotta pay for the free stuff.
If you drive 12,000 miles a year and average 16 mpg thats 750 gallons. If you drive more its most likely at highway mileage added and get 22 or so mpg. With that said 750 gallons and paying and extra $1.5 a gallon averages out to about an additional $3.12 a day. I know guys who spend 2x that on a snack and cup of coffee and think nothing of it. Its honestly not worth the stress and worry.
I can’t run anything below 91 in my 392 so it’s not fun. It’s around 4 bucks a gallon here in IL for 93 which is what i usually run. Put 50 bucks in at a quarter tank the other day and didn’t even fill it up.
Well at least some us companies ( the ones that domestically produce oil) are making a killing…..
I always questioned the interest of producing our own oil when we have to pay worldwide market price for it at the pumps
Good deal for some companies, not so good for the us consumers
Especially when most of the us oil produced is on land leased from the federal government….
