I have a 2021 mustang gt, shop just installed my whipple and fore dual pump fuel system. Lund is tuning it.

Fuel pressure is set to 58psi on the first regulator and 43psi on the 2nd regulator. They have it set up in series so the lines feed from the fuel pump to the passenger side HPFP to the regulator (58psi), to the rail, then it snakes over to the other side of the rail, to the return regulator (43psi), back to the fuel pump.

My initial data log looked good. Slow climb and engine revs were smooth. Lund then asked for a datalog at WOT. This is where the issues start. At WOT, you can feel the car fighting itself when trying to go WOT. Datalog shows that bank 1 is pulling fuel -15% and bank 2 is normal at around +3%. We checked everything on the install, everything looks correct.

The shop thinks it's the injectors, Lund says that's unlikely. Everything except for the fuel system came off from my 2018 mustang, including the injectors. Everything was working fine on my 2018 but we threw a fuel system on my new one and now we get issues. The shop basically said we can't figure it out and they suggest i look in the forums for help lol. Is there any suggestions as to fix this? Bank 1 is pulling fuel because it thinks the car is rich and bank 2 isn't getting enough fuel.

The shop did a smoke test and said they didn't see any issues. They also verified that both pumps are working. I'm completely lost as to what the problem can be at this point besides the injectors, O2 sensors (possibly the upstreams are connected to the wrong side connectors?), leak in the longtubes where it attaches to the motor? Lund is suggesting to change the system to a parallel feed but Fore says that shouldn't cause an issue with the amount of power I'm making.

Any help is appreciated.

I'd listen to Lund.
I don't want to throw another ~$700 at it for the same issue to happen. I get not arguing with Lund because I trust them but if Fore says the feeding system shouldn't cause issues with Bank 2 not getting enough fuel then I really doubt this would fix the problem. I might just end up switching to the parallel system but this is already costing me more than what I was initially expecting because of the shop's lack of experience after telling me they have done this before.

easy to tell if its the injectors, swap 4 from bank 1 to bank 2, and vice versa, see if the problem follows the injectors.....

:)

I'll probably try that with a buddy over the weekend but it seems unlikely that the fuel injectors failed after less than a year and less than 5k miles.

The fuel trim indicates an issue but what is the lambda reading? If it’s trimming 15% but lambda looks ok you might have another issue. Did they gap the plugs?
When lund tuned my car they had issues getting it to start. Had me check everything send them pictures, smoke test pull injectors. In the end it was nothing on my end lund wouldn’t tell me what they changed in the tune.

Lambda is reading .78 at Bank 1 and .80 at Bank 2

Were you on e85 before you had the injectors removed from your old car? Did they sit for a while with e85 in them? They could be gunked up from dried up e85.

Also I didnt know 2021's were fully tunable already.

I didn't run E85 in the old one.

Ya, Lund and PBD are both able to tune 2021s already. I think they said they don't have all the same fields available to them previously but take that with a grain of salt because I don't remember exactly their wording on that.

Swapping injectors is a good idea. Also Swapping 02s just to be safe could be an option.

yes, but 1 at a time, injectors or 02 sensors, not at the same time

I forgot to mention
Looks more like exhaust leak or o2s
If it was an exhaust leak, shouldn't I have noticed these issues before the whipple and fuel system? I had the longtubes installed before anything else and raced at the track on the stock tune with them.
