Fuel Filter Question

Hey all,

Just wondering when would be a good time to swap in a new fuel filter. My car has about 85k miles on it so wasn't sure if it's the right time to do so. And if yes, do you guys recommend OEM or aftermarket fuel filters?

The car comes with a lifetime fuel filter in the tank, attached to the pump. It's not considered a service item.

The fuel pump on my high milage 2015 was on it's way out and those come with fuel filters. You don't have a normal filter to replace, but if you wanted to you could swap the fuel pump. DW400 is less than 300 bucks

I don't believe any s550 comes from Ford with an inline fuel filter like what is pictured here.

I'll have to double check my car. I have been doing some routine maintenance lately so I came across this filter on American Muscle and figured why not since it's a filter lol But they sell them for s550, not sure if it comes standard with one or it's some additional mod to the fuel system/lines

I can assure you it doesn't have an inline fuel filter. GT350 does but that's not even a GT350 in the picture.

Can’t comment on the pic, but the 350 does have that style in line, replaceable filter.
