Back when I had my EB I used a bottle of Techron every few fill ups. But with my GT/CS no. I only use “Top Tier” gas (Costco 93) and feel it’s additive package is sufficient for our motors.My car is tuned on 93 octane with approximately 15k miles. I've always ran 93 octane, no issues there. As far as that though, is it necessary to run a tank with a detergent additive from like HEB, etc. every so often? Feels like such a noob question to ask.
And everyone gives me shit when I say I put Costco 93.
Funny. People would do the same about Murphy USA fuel but my octane adjusted ratio is always at max from Walmart. I will drop 2-4 oar using BP.
I’ve heard that too but have no idea why. It’s TT and always fresh. You also cannot beat the price. When I cannot fill up at Costco I will look for a Shell Station. Just personal preference, I guess
it’s rated as a top tier and you are right the gas in those tanks gets cycle way faster than most gas station would cycle their gas. Yeah my second option is also shell and last would be chevron.
