Can anyone tell me if this is normal for these axles or if this is defective?

This video will show me turning the pinion on the differential, while recording how much the inner axle CVs will rotate back and forth before the outer CVs rotate.

This car suffers from a really nasty delay in throttle input, and I am positive that this is where its coming from. The axles rotate 5+ degrees before the outer CVs join the party. This translates to 20+ degrees rotation slop in the driveshaft and pinion.

When you tap the throttle to accelerate, there is a delay then a thud and go. Then when you let off the gas pedal, there is a delay then a thud followed by engine decel. Pretty sure the axles are the problem.

I'd send the video link to G Force for their input. From reading their site, I believe these axles now have a lifetime warranty.

With that said, my drivetrain feels very solid.

Have you had a chance to see whether your bolts have moved?

Phunk, this came with mine. Do you have this? I remember you were one of the very early pioneers of these halfshafts.

Also, why is your pumpkin so oily?

I sent the video to G-Force a couple days ago and so far nothing but crickets.

I do have that paper, I havent checked the torque on the bolts.. I just had the axles out and even if they were not at the torque spec, they certainly are not coming out, so I dont think checking the torque on them is going to change much?

My pumpkin is oily from fluid coming out the sides while it was being kicked around the shop for the last 2 months.

Thanks for the feedback. I come from a different platform background where everything is a little different. I showed this to a friend that builds mustangs all day every day and he had the same sentiment as you. I hate the way it feels driving, but I might have to just eat it and move on with my life.

PS I put your drag springs and LCA bearings in, did the FRPP toe bearings at the same time, already had your toe rods and etc. Car is hooking unlike ever before, full throttle second gear 815rwhp dead hook 19" NT05R.
