I got a great deal from Don Wood Ford on a set of FRPP Axles for $1569 out the door. They're rated to 1500HP and look great! These guys are the cheapest for Ford Racing parts.Don Wood Ford
It took around 3 hours to install both sides. I simply followed the included instructions to the letter. There were no issues getting the old axles out or new axles in. The difference in size and weight between them was significant.
Make sure you have a torque wrench capable of over 200ft/lbs because one of the lower control bolts requires 203 ft/lb torque. Most typical 1/2" torque wrenches only go to 200 ft/lb.
In terms of difficulty, with the right tools, this is a very easy job.
