The splitter extensions only extend in front of the front tires to reduce turbulence and has air channels to push air over the wheel wells. If you go to the zL1 add on web page look up GT 500 splitter fender extensions.
Yes, I know what they are. My question was what splitter do you have to go with them?

It is an OEM GT Premium splitter.
Thank you, if you can share the pictures of end result once you have them installed, that would be awesome. They don't have good pictures there.

I will have some pics posted up by the end of the day tomorrow, adding 2 more fasteners, I want this rock solid over 100 mph. I will also provide some feedback at different speeds, as it was very hard to find info on this when I was researching. Most of my research was based on performance car aero from engineers and wind tunnel testing.

I haven't seen these on an S550 yet. I wasn't sure where they attached but found this pic on Levittown's site:

There’s a video that Steeda did for the install. Looks pretty simple.

The OEM cars sometimes have air ‘curtain’ to direct airflow to the outside of the OEM tire packages. (18+ non PP1 cars have these, and 15-17 PP1 cars have em) They probably closed them on the 18+ PP1 cars because the wider front tires were too wide to benefit from air curtains in that location

Tire spats like that ZL1 part are used when you’re running wide front tires which stick out past the bodywork. The spats help in those cases.

If your tires are still well covered from front airflow by the fenders, im guessing you’d be better off with actual canards and not draggy spats.

The real win would be a splitter with a geometry to create downforce, such as diffusers, like the OEM Shelbys, and which is low to the ground and not up at the stock underbody height from the ground. The downside is low long splitters scrape on just about everything, so not fun on a daily driver., which is why the Shelbys splitters aren’t super long or low but include curved channels down there which act as diffusers to generate some downforce.

I run 275/35r20’s and these block my tires and wheel wells perfect, so far they seem to definitely add downforce, more than I expected. Don’t really want anymore downforce than this, just wanted to bring the nose down after the 60’. It definitely feels more stable over 45 mph and just plants harder after that.

FYI if anyone wants those S650 strakes, Tasca and Levittown have a better price than Steeda. Almost $50 less

Thanks, I think I am going to give them a try, for $100 they surely can’t hurt anything.

Here are the pics. After securing the remaining splitter/fender extension holes to the factory splitter with larger sheet metal screws and washers, I also applied 2 small felt pads at the top of each air channel where it is very close to to fender to protect any possible paint damage. Then I took a little trip on a nearby interstate and got up to speed 😎, as I stated previously you do begin to feel some downforce around 40mph and then it just progressively gets stronger, the real benefit was much better front end stabilization over 70mph. After that, I ran it thru my local soft touch car wash and inspected all hardware, everything stayed perfectly in place, seemed very solid 👍
