I asked my dealer to stick them on and they did a good job, plus I have just noticed that they used aluminium plates.
That's good of them! I'm just worried about the 'stick plates' ruining the paint as I need to take the plate off for when it gets wrapped.

Mandy,

3m tape comes off cleanly, unless the pain is no good.

Stop worrying about the car.... I got more with honey regarding mine than with vinegar. Yes i vented but I tried to remain calm with Ford exec and generally it worked out for the best.

I was staggered the car was here, i was betting on March!!!

Most car guys are the same all smiles while things are going the right way and cant see them for dust once the deal is done, doesn't matter if its bmw, porsche, mercedes or ford. the only exception is lexus and i don't generally like there cars unfortunately.... and I cant afford the one I do like

Okay, well that's relieved some pain, someone mentioned that 3m was going to pull the lacquer off. Which ad me worried.

I Know it'll be worth it when she comes, just need ot be the perfectionist until then.

Gathered as such, so i'll make him/them in the future work for the comission, especially as I walked in and handed him money. No 'selling' needed.
Let me guess, it's a LFA ;)? Gorgeous pieces of kit...

3M red tape will keep it on .... probably forever. Removal will likely take the lacquer with it.

I have a motorised Sto & Sho ready to fit, but as said above, definitely needs a square plate with that setup.
I love these - I know someone who has a motorised plate and its pure James Bond. I only recently discovered AM do these for the Mustang - do you have the AM one?

The only downside seems to be that you loose some ground clearance.

If you warm with a hair dryer (or heat gun is you're posh), the 3M peels right off.

Im pretty sure your car won't be the first tHey have seen with a stuck on plate!

Chill man!
Well i'd called them and they'd said 'Certain adhesives can corode the paint' I'm fairly chill just wanted to check with my dealer - Think everything i write comes across passive aggro, if i don't put the ',,:) or ;) faces'!!

How did you guys fit the sto n sho to the underside?

Speaking to my dealer today and he told me the Australian splitter (or whatever that is under the front bumper) is different to the US.

Are you guys in a similar situation?

You can get sto n sho's for the various different splitters (I think there are three types) so unless they've designed a completely unique one for the Aussie market you should be able to get one to fit. In the UK we all get the PP splitter.

Yeah I ordered the PP sto n sho. I'm pretty sure we will get the same GT as you guys.

He was saying something like, the screw holes are not in the centre and it's either mounted to the left or right.

Gibbo205 has one fitted to his car. Don't recall him mentioning any issues fitting it but I get the impression he'd cope with a bit of fettling ;)

Just saw a photo of the underside. Seems to be all good. Maybe my dealer got the wrong one for himself?

Anyway, cheers :D
