I have the Ford racing borla sport cat back with the black tips. It's off right now at my buddies shop because he is installing stainless works off road headers for me. I have two questions regarding the borla mufflers.

1.) they have a ton of water in them, my mechanic recommended to drill a small hole in the bottom of the muffler to let water drain. Anyone ever done this?

2.) I would like to paint the back of the muffler black, I bought some 2000 deg engine spray paint. Will it bond to the stainless steel mufflers? Any recommendations to get it to stick without flaking off?

1.) there is a specific step by step guid from borla to drill a weep hole. It's a common thing I guess. It's a pdf he emailed to me. I'll try and post it when I get to a desktop.

2.) clean and sand stainless with scotch bright pad and apply VFT header paint.

I'm on my phone now. I will attach the pdf and the email later.

Most likely. When I took of my Touring axle backs, they had water in them.

No hole, no drain.

Water in the Exhaust

Not if you really drive the car long enough to get it warm. The moisture that collects in the exhaust will accumulate if the system never gets hot. A short trip once a day will generate water and if thats the only use the car sees it will accumulate.
