I did a couple passes and I guess because of the pressure oil started leaking. I found the leak. I have a breather I thought the oil came thru that but it didn’t.

Why does this happen ?
Is this normal ?
What can I do to prevent this from happening ?
I have a breather and two catch cans why didn’t it just come out of there ?

No check engine light no changes in anything.

Are your spark plugs tight? I wonder if oil is getting past your rings and being pushed up and out of the spark plug holes? Other ideas could be:

- Leaking valve cover gasket
- Bad plug well grommets
- Leaking valve guides

That is the spark plug seal. Pull the valve cover and the tubes that contain the plugs need new seals.

Give the engine a good cleaning, retorque your valve cover bolts and keep a close eye out for returning leaks. The source of the leak may be easier to locate that way.

Excessive crankcase pressure, or age. Yours was just rebuilt? might not have been seated properly.

So, there are a few things here. First is that Ford did not install the correct number of bolts into the valve covers and there was a TSB to remove the covers, drill them, then reinstall with all 14 bolts. If that's been done, check the torque on all bolts. Many times, they'll back out slightly and will allow a leak. Past that, your plug well seals might need replacement.

Other than that, the composite valve covers can warp and there's a windage tray underneath the valve cover. Under hard acceleration, oil can be forced to the back of the tray and dump oil out of plug seals.

Best bet, if you're removing the bolts, is to just replace the valve covers with the GT500 aluminum units. I just did this, and it solved a problem I've been dealing with for five years. It looks better, too.

Over pressuring crankcase/top end. Make sure that catch can hose routing is correct.
It was installed by Brenspeed. I’ll take a video of both catch cans and their routing as soon as I get to my car . Thanks

What part may not have been seated properly ? Also this happened to my cousin with a similar set up.

Those are nothing but dust seals to prevent foreign material to make its way into the spark/coil plug wells.

You're outside of the power train warranty, so they'll look at it, but they're not fixing anything unless you're paying.

I think the TSB was for 2015-2017.
