Im kinda lost on why you are here then? We get it, you dont care.
Your comprehension needs work.

I like and enjoy F1.. I’m just not emotionally invested in it at all. So no, you don’t get it.

I don't do that either.
Good for you. But an awful lot of your compatriots do. So your singling me out for it seems quite strange to me to say the least.

This discussion is about F1, not whataboutisms.
Sure. When I do it, it's wrong and it's a European quirk. When I point out your fellow countrymen are also doing it, it's whataboutism. I can't win.

I mentioned an F1 driver and my feelings about his results in F1. Your reply was about me and your views on Europeans. So, which of us is off-topic?
Yeah, I agree, let's keep it about F1.

Hello; I hope to find out what TV source will be broadcasting the F1 races this coming season? More specifically will a middle level Direct TV package with ESPNHD & ESPN2HD only be a source?

Only licensed live source in US is via Apple TV. Since I am not a fan of Apple TV, I'll either do without, hope for replays somewhere else, wait 'till end of season and binge watch for 1 month of Apple TV, or VPN live which may be last choice as more difficult to watch on a TV. Or T-Mobile might offer subsidized subscription in lieu of Netflix which is useless to me. It is not clear even with the Apple TV subscription if you can actually watch on Apple TV or the Apple TV subscription lets you log onto the F1 TV platform. Not a fan of that either since it has an archaic user interface at least the TV app.

Hello; This is disturbing. So far my traditional sports have become hard to watch. The Tour De France has not been 21 days of coverage last few years. Maybe a couple of weekend shows.
24 hours of Daytona was only partially shown on Direct.

There are too many subscription streaming outfits. I am not going to subscribe just to get an F1 race. Too bad.

Thanks

It’s on Apple tv, is what it is. The F1 app is still available. Not a fan of all the streaming services either but atleast apple tv, and netflix are mostly covered for me through my cell service. Even if it wasn’t I’d gladly pay the few dollars for it. WEC should have there app out pretty soon to. Gladly pay for that one to. Racing is worth it for me.

Same here. I already have Apple TV so it’s not an issue. But I would pay for it if I had to. I remember years ago having to pay extra for SpeedTV to get F1.

In the US the F1 app is not available except via Apple TV. Only way to use it in US other than thru Apple TV is if a yearly subscription was paid before they stopped renewing or adding US subscriptions to "protect" Apple TV. That was in one of the "ber" months last year.

My choices will allow me to watch every race. Some just might be delayed as much as 9 months. ;) For the principle of it. Not gonna subscribe just to watch 1% of what the subscription pays for. I had s similar "rule" in my youth about buying cases of Cracker Jacks that I hate just for the whistles or other toys. Frito Lays agreed and canned the toys when they bought CJ.

Why just not get a VPN and set it to another country.

I mentioned that option in my earlier post. I am not sure I want to jump thru all the related hoops to watch it on my TV and I don't want to cast from my phone.

Hello; for what it may be worth a ROKU box currently offers an F1 channel. That channel did during the past season show the races about a week late. Usually on the Friday after the race. The channel replays races from decades past. I watched a race from the early 1980's recently.
For me a problem is I do not have a way to record such a broadcast, but such will be better than no race at all.

I likely will not sign on to apple streaming for more than one reason. Partly because there are too many such streaming services and it seems each has tried to latch onto a popular program just to force us to subscribe. I have not done such to get bicycle races nor the LeMans race. The recent 24 hours of Daytona started on a broadcast channel I got but switched to Peacock for the bulk of the time. Then showed the end of the race.

The second reason is a bit more personal. I do not use a credit card online. Seems too risky. AT&T lost my personal information a couple of years ago for one thing, so I am dealing with that.

The first summer I lost ability to watch the Tour De France I found something else to do but was angry at the attempt to make me subscribe to another TV service. I did not have good internet at the time was another reason. I have good fiber optic internet service now.

I suspect it is like the price of some cars. As long as there are enough willing to pay extra for a thing that thing will cost more and more. If enough folks balk at the scheme the scheme will have to adjust.

That’s interesting. I use to have the F1 app to avoid listening to Espn’s race versions. Didn’t realize they had canned it in the US.

What is the name of the Roku app that showed delayed F1 races?
