Agreed, you won’t see Max or Lewis near a podium if you put them in a Williams. As good as drivers like Lewis Max and Alonzo are if they don’t have a car under them to perform they will be watching the podium winners via TV in their trailers.
Fact, just how it’s always been. Schumacher haters said it, Vettel haters said it, Hamilton haters say it, Max haters are saying it now. But it’s always been the best drivers get the best cars and can win with them.
100% and he knows and admitted it. And if George hadn’t DNF’ed it could have been Mercedes 2-3. But ifs don’t matter. We’ll take it.
He gets a bad rap... however, rarely makes mistakes? like running into a Williams at Australia last year and running Fernando almost over the barriers at Austin last year? I think if he could stop the mistakes he'd be right up there with Fernando in that Aston. This year I've been impressed by him especially considering the broken wrists!
He's a good driver obviously but not in the league with Fernando, Max, or Lewis...IMHO.
That's a fair comment. Even the pay drivers on the F1 grid... they are better than most racers out there. I know there are other racers who don't have the funding that could compete but I bet there are not that many.
