Yeah not sure what the rules are. Would not make sense to not be able to replace the floor during a Sprint weekend since it’s technically a wear part as well.

Sprint qualifying should be Friday and Race qualifying should be Saturday. Also throw in another practice session on Saturday.

So:
Friday
Practice 1
Sprint qualifying

Saturday
Practice 2
Race qualifying
Sprint race

Sunday
Race

This way, any wear items can be replaced on Saturday after the Sprint race.
F1 listened to me :cwl:

Friday is now practice and Sprint qualifying.
Saturday is now Sprint race then Race qualifying. Not sure what happens when a car crashes and can’t compete in qualifying.
Sunday is race day.

If F1 isn’t careful they’ll end up where Nascar has. The stuff with Andretti is pure crap right down to the random email sent about a meeting. That should have been a formal letter, a phone call, and a proper email. The nonsense with Horner, yawn.

F1 sucks!!!

Mercedes have gone a different route with their side pod inlet design again, but this time I think it works. I honestly thought they were going to introduce the design last year when the vertical inlet wasn’t working midway through the season. A V shape, a mix of the vertical design and conventional wide inlet. The front wing is also different than others. The engine cover looks like what they had last year and I see other teams using the design, even Red Bull.

Redbull have made some serious changes to their new car. it will be interesting to see if it's a step forward that leaves everyone else behind again. I hope not (purely from a racing POV) but they've not made any mistakes so far with these regulations. I would guess other teams are sh**ting themselves...

I’d LMFAO if Mercedes go it right and Red Bull got it wrong and got Wolff and Horner bickering with each other like they did in 2022.

But which ones?! haha
I hope there is some sandbagging or it's going to be a one horse race again...

last point... did anyone spot the safety car when they were inspecting the drain cover?

The red S550? Yep. It’s a Race Control car.
