Hey guys, when I first installed this setup on my 2017 mustang GT, I was using the hobbs switch, which fore recommended me to use cause of heat. I was using a different tuner at the time and he was fine with it. I ended up blowing two cylinders out of my motor and rebuilt it and now I'm using Lund. Lund told me they want both my pumps to run all the time, so I am deleting the hobbs switch. The guy from Lund told me I can just cut the hob switch wire and hook them up together and both pumps will be on all the time. I'm a little weary about doing that and I would rather just hook up the fc3 controller without the Hobbs switch wiring how to make it one less connection to maybe fail in the future. So would I just unhook the Hobbs switch 2 wires and just pigtail the remote from pump one and run that into pump 2 and 3 also? Trying to make sure I do this right.
My issue is I'm paranoid also because we are doing street tuning and right now my car won't go over 6000 RPMs and it feels like it's cutting out fuel or something. Hell, it might even be a soft rev limiter they forgot to take off at around that RPM. obviously I can't get ahold of Lund till tomorrow so they can check the data log, but Lund Jr wanted me to do a 7500 RPM pull, obviously I can't even get over 6000. Any help would be greatly appreciated on what you think might be happening and making sure I rewire the controller correctly or if what I did is perfectly fine with just hooking up both wires directly from the hob switch.
He told me that everything was looking perfect (fuel and timing) when he wanted me to do a wot until 5500 and told me to use the same tune to do one to 7500.

Best bet would be to direct connect the pump wires to pump connection spots 2 and 3 on the fc3. You’ll only need the trigger wire that is activating those pumps as well. Connection 1 is more for a Hobbs switched pump.

thank you sir. That's exactly what I just did. Glad to verify that it is right. One less connection to have to worry about later on. Lol.
I'm hoping Lund can figure out what's going on because when I hit about 6000ish RPMs something is cutting out to not letting me go that RPM.

No problem. Lund’s early road dyno tune process does limit rpm and it’s possible you’re right about it limiting as they may have forgot to change it. Give that a go and see what it does.

Yeah I'm going to do a data log in a little while. It's been way too hot around here to do it during the day. And I even sent him a message over the weekend about it not letting me really go over that. I'm hoping it's nothing serious because I just put in the built motor and everything sounds perfect even at wide open throttle up until that RPM. And he said everything looked perfect from when I did the wide open throttle up until 5500.

I was convinced to just go FC3 route and stage my pumps with a hobbs but the more posts I read the less I like my decision when they did thr install. I just hope I don't one day lose a pump without knowing until it's too late

Yeah I eliminated it. Car still runs very good so far. Still getting tuned dialed in with Lund right now.

I had Carlyle Racing install my L2 triple. I had planned on just running all 3 pumps all the time. They convinced me to run the Hobbs switch. Mark said they’ve installed hundreds of the Fore systems, all set up the same way and have yet to see the switch fail on any of them. Fingers crossed!

I've had no issues running dual pumps with a hobbs switch for over 2 years now but I'm going to start running them both full time now per Lund's suggestion.

How involved is it switching the wiring over to 2 pumps full time?

Bringing back a old thread to life. How many running pumps all the time? I thought that was not advised because it heated up the fuel to much?
