Hi. Since the first tow hooks cannot be installed with jack rails, I found a spot on the engine lower support frame. They would be higher than my Lower engine cross brace and other OEM parts. This looks to be a more sturdier location for the tow hooks. Anyone else do this?. I could have a set of tie downs made with a center hinge so the front part of the tie down could pivot

t upwards up higher.

I just reshaped the front pair, and installed them under the jacking rails.
By flattening them, then re-bending, they will work.

Hi. Thank you for your reply. I thought of that but I didn't want to raise the front end of the Jacking rail from my frame creating a 1/4" a gap between the jacking rail and the Car Frame. Take Care.

May I ask which 'tow hooks' you're talking about? The car has holes to be able to insert tow hooks, in case the car as to be pulled into a flat bed (no tow hook in front, like on EU cars, unfortunately)... BUT as far as I know, those are more inward than the Steeda jacking rails I have (need to recheck). Just want to make sure you're not talking about those. Thank you.

These are the Ford Performance Tie Down plates for the S550. There is no interference in the rear. However, in the front, the plates and the jacking rails utilize the same holes. You cannot just slip the plates under the rails because of their curve. To use them, I heated and flattened the plates. After marking, I heated them and created a new bend which does not interfere.
The OP chose not to go this route because the rail is spaced away from the floor-pan by the thickness of the plate.

Not a Hard Fix. I plan On notching the bottom of the front jacking rail to fit the Ford Performance Trailer Tie Down Hooks and then weld the Hooks to the Jacking Rail. Then paint. This way the jacking rail and Tie Down Hooks will be one piece and their is no loss of structural integrity from either.
