Hmm - you haven't had many dealings with large, multi-national companies, where "moral obligations" often don't exist in the corporate vocabulary....I think if I was you I would take the car as is and get Ford to compensate. I reckon they will be quite obliging.
Trust me I have.Hmm - you haven't had many dealings with large, multi-national companies, where "moral obligations" often don't exist in the corporate vocabulary....
Ford haven't gone bust - it is the dealer, and that is who the contract was with. It is a sickener, though.
Fwiw, I reckon the dealer has ordered wrong rather than Ford cocking up the order. When I went in to check on my order after a month or so, there was quite a few things wrong:frusty::frusty:Trust me I have.
It appears that Ford have got the order wrong, not the dealer and the ownership of the car will not be an issue if its paid for.
I think if the right noises are made to the right people, he will be sorted out.
PICNIC - problem in chair, not in computerIn an age of these weird things called computers... how does this happen?
:eyebulge:you paid in full before checking over the car? That stinks and sounds suspiciously like they were desperate for your cash and knew the order was wrongWe did a bank transfer on the day of pick up, I held 1k back in case something minor was not right, never ever thought when they'd had the car for nearly 3 weeks to check it would be the wrong spec!
Cause the stupid human puts in the wrong infoIn an age of these weird things called computers... how does this happen?
So quick update to all. Believe you me we are being forceful! Gowrings as expected have washed their hands of it. To be fair Ford have their sleeves rolled up to sort out customers. It appears Ford are taking responsibility for all stock in the next few days, it appears only secondhand stock and property are in the Administrators hands. Fingers crossed a resolution is now in play, I'm in direct contact with the Ford team directly managing this.
