Finally have a lot of time with the top down and listening to the car...

The turbo sound is definitely much more than it was before the FP tune/cai...

With the mufflers and turbo sound, think I've found a great balance. I love it at least.

Excellent news! I forgot, what you ended up with. Do you still have the stock exhaust with the Magnaflow mufflers? Are they the mufflers from the Street or Race? And which intake, the GT350 intake that came with the FP Performance Pack or did you swap it out? I'm sure it makes quite the difference with a convertible.

FP tune with the GT350 intake (even if it still looks ridiculous - it is bigger than the engine. :D ).

Mufflers are below... I purchased them since I was not sure which catback would fit my car (vert different than the coupe, from what I understood at the time). Plus, heck, it was cheaper to purchase the mufflers and have them put on the car.

Magnaflow mufflers and tips: SummitRacing.com: Magnaflow #10415 ; Tips: #SUM-690032. Total cost: $200. Cost to install: 150 (tip included): $350 total. I left the resonator after speaking a to Ford tech who recommended I not delete for warranty purposes (if I took the car to them). The mufflers sound great, exactly what I wanted. BUT, if I had it all over to do again, I would leave the mufflers stock. Shop who performed the job: Fast Lane Performance Muffler, 12409 Crain Hwy, Brandywine, MD 20613, 301-782-3737

Just placed my order with Steve Powell at Tasca ford, $499 shipped. He was very friendly and answered all my questions. He also confirmed any ASE certified tech can install the kit. Call him at
1-800-598-1484.

Ordered!! Thanks to all who supplied this great resource at Tasca!! Unfortunately, had to order a factory intake tube to replace K&N CAI that came on mine.

If you read this forum, people have got the k&n intake to work with the kit just fine.

Oh yeah i know. But my Ford service dept. told me rather matter of factly that if anything happens to the internals of my brand new engine while the K&N is on there, they won't warranty it. Specifically said K&N!! They stated the intake with the ProCal kit will not void it. So............. The tube was only $47. Small price for peace of mind and I'll sell the K&N to recoup a few dollars.

After The tune was uploaded the car feels very slugish. I drove probably 20 miles and it hasnt improved yet. Hopefully the weather will be decent this weekend and I can drive it some more.

Do you know if Octane Adjust and Profile Learning were enabled or disabled when they loaded the tune? If they were enabled, it will need to go through a slower learning period as it defaults to a safer level in case you are running 87 octane or just bad gas. At least with the previous version of the ProCal 3 software, those options were defaulted to off.

From the installation guide:

When to use Octane Adjust and Profile Learning

The Octane Adjust switch should only be switched to “ON” when spark retardation is desired. Some engines have increased octane sensitivity and require spark table adjustment. By switching the Ocatne Adjust switch to “ON” you are telling the PCM to reference a different spark table. Normally, this is only necessary if your engine is knocking.

The Profile Learning switch should only be switched to “ON” when the engine is reporting a misfire DTC such as P0300-P0316. By enabling this switch, the engine will prompt the driver to rev the engine to a specific rpm until the PCM relearns the fire pattern characteristics of the trigger wheel.

I've got about 100 miles on mine now and it runs fantastic. Very happy with the tune.
