I installed mine today. I cut off the three locating pins and used the supplied hardware. No real issues and it seems attached better than I thought it would be. I really love the looks of it on the car.

hey mind sending us a picture of the car with the PP2 splitter ?

Yes, they are different, but not by much. I have a PP1, bought the PP2 from Ford for less than $400 which I thought was a good deal. There are only 6 holes where you have to drill into the PP1 splitter...I used wellnuts/rivet nuts and if the plastic rivets come out, I'll use wellnuts/rivet nuts after drilling the plastic rivets out. Just to be clear, the PP1 bellypan is basically the same at the PP2. When you install the PP2 splitter as the instructions indicate, all of the rear holes in the PP2 splitter line up with PP1 bellypan. We'll see how it holds up to a couple of 3 digit high speed runs.
It's not rocket science and although the PP1 and PP2 upper splitter have different part numbers, when I was drilling through the PP1 upper splitter, I ran into what looked like rivnuts in some areas. Mine is 19, so maybe 18's are different, but it worked perfect for this old guy.

PP1 cars can add PP2 splitters ... Doesn’t matter if you have the PP2 upper lip.

I bought a used splitter without fasteners.

According to the instructions posted earlier you need 12 screws W715060-S450B but 4 are already on my PP1 so only need 8, they are about $2/each from many different Ford parts websites.

Then you also need 21 rivets W704342-S300 which are 1/4" dia with a 1/2" dia head, they are crazy expensive on Ford websites but I found an off-brand pack of 25 for $6.00 here:

https://www.fastener.zone/products/auveco-13751-1274-ford-w704342-s300

Not buying the rivets yet because I have a ton of 1/4" diameter push pin-type fasteners that I'm going to try first.

Good thing when you buy the PP2 lip from ford it comes with everything you need. Can’t wait to get her on my PP1 19 GT

I only paid $100 delivered for the splitter so I don't mind spending $25 more on screws LOL

Yep OEM takeoff. Motivated seller LOL.

I just looked under the car though and am not sure how this is going to work. There are two screws on each side that look like they will go through the PP2 splitter into the existing threaded holes in the PP1 splitter; but the other 8 front PP2 screw holes don't line up with anything in the PP1 splitter. So now I'm wondering how these screws are going to go in? Even if I drill holes, there won't be anything on the back for the screws to thread into!

So you drilled holes for the front screws and they threaded right in?

No holes to drill, just cut the three pins, install the screws into existing holes and install the plastic rivets. You'll need a rivet gun specifically for plastic rivets as the stem is larger than a standard pop rivet. I bought mine at harbor freight for 20 bucks or so.

Update... so tonight I tried to install the splitter using the 21 rivet / 12 screw instructions from Post 7.

The 4 existing PP1 screws (2 on each end near the wheels) worked in the PP2 takeoff splitter.

The inner ring of rivet holes in the PP2 splitter lined up with existing holes in the PP1 belly pan. I had a bunch of 1/4" diameter push pins with large flanged heads and used them instead of rivets, they worked great. Very tight fit.

However, the outer ring of holes is where a combination of the remaining 8 screws and the rest of the rivets go, according to the Post 7 instructions, but I have NO holes in the PP1 splitter that line up with them. There are two hole diameters in this ring and the smaller diameter is about .260". It's about .350" deep from the PP2 surface through the holes to the PP1 splitter surface. So I'm ordering stainless steel thread forming screws (97975A131) with washers (90107A013) from McMaster-Carr for about $18 plus tax and shipping to try in these holes.

Got the screws and washers and finished the install...it went OK but not great. When I drilled into the PP1 splitter to install the 15 new screws, probably 1/3 of them drilled easily through into the splitter, and the screws went in fine and tightened up. The rest hit something REALLY hard inside the splitter. I tried to drill through whatever the hard thing was but it didn't work very well, then when I tried to install the screws they wouldn't screw in all the way. But it seems to be on there pretty good, here's a pic of the screws and push pins I used.

UPDATE: Didn't like the way those #12 screws were not going in all the way so I bought McMaster-Carr 97975A133 thread forming #14 screws, 410 stainless steel. These are a little bigger diameter but 3/4" long instead of 1" long. Using the same washers and a 5/32" drill bit these went in all the way - much better.

Also - I'm wondering if the hard things I was hitting with the drill are rocks. If I was going to do it over, I'd check up in the PP1 splitter and clean it all out first.

Are you sure you weren’t hitting the j-nuts on the belly pan? The PP1 pan has j-nuts for the PP2 splitter. The upper splitter just doesn't have holes yet.

Not sure what I was hitting but it's installed now with the self-tapping screws. Wish I had known there were nuts in the PP1 splitter that just needed holes in the plastic to reach, I had bought the Ford screws but then realized there was nothing to screw them into.

I have a PP2 and installed the front splitter myself. Did not need to drill any holes. The main thing is to have the right rivet gun. I did this install with out jacking up the car. Just need to have the right tools.
