Hey guys! I was thinking of getting a strut tower brace for my '17 ecoboost premium (non pp).
I was curious if anyone had experience with either or both brands offering.

Do I really need the cowl extension?

Anyone have the upr dvcc? Have you had clearance issues? I know the gt350r version from FP gives a about a 1/4 inch clearance.

Thank you!

Cowl extension brace causes more of a difference than just the STB. Haven't heard of clearance issues either way with catch cans.

There's also a firewall extension brace to do at the same time if you do the cowl extension, you're accessing the same areas so might as well knock it out together!

Finally found the thread with the guide/part numbers for the PP bracing.

The extension panel is FR3Z-63016A52-A.

Yes, that's the thread. I followed this myself and it made a HUGE difference. Slightly heavier though, but you get all three pieces of steel together to attach all three points, and combined with the K-member underneath the whole front of the car feels a lot better around the corners.
