Ford Performance Hood struts

Anyone else seeing that its a PITA to install the passenger side bracket? Not the cutting of the battery cover, the bracket was a PITA to install and after checking, shifted the hood. Ordered Steeda struts to replace the FP product.

I had an issue with it. The drivers side was a breeze, but the passenger side kept popping the strut off. I tried it three times and then noticed that the bracket pulled the "metal" out. To top it off I ended up dropping the bracket down the hole never to be seen again. Time for a different brand.

I bought these and experienced the same issue on the passenger side, these are trash. Went without and likely will stay that way now.

Maybe I missed something but I thought Ford Performance did not make them for the GT 350. Went with the Redline struts here an no issue with them.

I like the hood prop, never needs to be replaced. Thought it was cheese at first.

However now find I like the positive sound dropping the hood makes when it latches.

Best change for the hood IMO is the release replace that.

Double check your information, but the Ford performance ones are designed for the GT's what have a different hood hinge design. I mistakenly bought them at first and returned them for the Redline struts.

If this what you ordered and tried to install they are labeled as only fitting the GT, V6, and Ecoboost. They don't clearly mention that they will not fit the GT350 unless you go down into the questions and answers section unfortunately.

Painted to match Redlines on my 17' GT350. Installed in about 30 minutes and they have been flawless since.

I agree with #mavisky above and Ford Performance website states it clearly that they Do Not fit GT350

Put the Ford Perf struts on my '16 GT within months of getting her - no issues at all and still going strong almost 5yrs in

There are a Ford Performance Branded set available with GT350 labelled on them. I dont think they can be found very easily. Absolute garbage

These are the only official Ford Performance hood struts and are clearly marketed as not being for the GT350. Not sure what you found, but anyone co-opting the branding without licensing probably has questionable manufacturing standards and engineering in the first place.
