The MMD kit I got from American Muscle does not require drilling or cutting. Just bolt the brackets in and snap the pistons on and you are done.

I bought the original Hillbank/Ford performance struts and the bottom brackets were so bad the product was nearly unusable. Nobody should have to ask for a replacement for such garbage.

There has been reported fitting issues on the GT350 with the Redline QuickLift hood struts. Not sure if its the way the person installed the product or if there is an actual fitting issue with the GT350 since the hood is different from a Regular Mustang...

We have a QuickLIFT system designed specifically for the unique GT350 hood and hinge assembly! Parts are due in our facility this week and once fitment has been 100% verified, the system will for sale on our website. We expect them shipping in mid February.

Hello 350Gen6,
The system is a Bolt-in design and the only modification required is to drill a hole in the plastic battery cover. You can watch our video of the QuickLIFT installation here:

+1 for the Redline Tuning struts. They've been in the business for a long time and focus purely on hood strut systems. Had them on my S197 for 3 years with no issues at all. The ones on my '16 have been flawless so far, and installation took maybe 25 minutes. :cheers:

Hello morjo02,
The installation is exactly the same, we designed a new hood bracket specifically for the GT350 unique hood and hinge assembly.

We do not have a torque spec for the hood nut.
