My car arrived last Friday and I just installed these. They work great and there is no way that loosening one bolt lowers the hood.

I did have my dealer realign the hood however because of gap issues at the front fenders. After walking the lot and pointing out all the cars that were aligned correctly, they agreed and fixed it.

I did notice that the hood seemed to set a millimeter or two lower near the windshield as well. It really isn't noticeable and I don't believe there is a way to adjust for that. I did notice many cars on the lot with the same issue. As someone said, it's not a Porsche. I just think people aren't really looking at their hood until they install the struts.
Thanks you for confirming this! I agree, people are not looking at the fit of their hoods until after they install our system. Like I said before, our system does not change how the hood fits.

I installed the MMD Hood strut kit from AmericanMuscle.com

You get a much stronger 12" bolt on bracket than the Redline. No drilling thru the battery cover.

The only small modification for the GT350 hood was to take a 1/4" strip of the edge of the MMD bracket. You only need to remove about a 6" strip from the top edge of the bracket.

Very strong setup for sure. Check out the installation video

There are always other options, but why buy a product that you have to modify to fit? Buy a system that was designed specifically for the unique GT350 hood and hinge assy.
