Has anyone used FordPass? When I bought my Bullitt this last week, the salesman put it on my cell phone for me. I really don't understand the function.

I have it, but don't really use it, I think its so that you can find gas stations and dealers near you if you need service.

I use it daily. It can schedule start times(10spd auto), check my tire pressures, lock and unlock my car from anywhere, check the cars location, and sends a monthly review of the cars ‘health’. All not necessary, but it’s cool to have. I’ve left my car before and wasn’t sure if I locked it. Went on the FordPass app and locked it to make sure.

I have it for my RS, and will try it with the GT, but it doesn't want to sync with the RS and it doesn't keep up with maintenance like it used to. The app just seems really glitchy.

I have my Edge Sport and V6 Mustang in it but don't see any of those features, ........ guess its only available on certain models and MY.

Maybe so. It also shows me my oil life percentage left, and how much gas(miles to empty) are in the car. It’s occasionally glitchy and won’t update but for the most part it’s good.

I have tried it but don't see all those options available. Did you have to have anything additional installed by the dealer?
The app says I need to add Smartlink

Nothing extra installed by the dealer. My GT is a 401A car though with built in 4GLTE connection. Maybe that’s how the app syncs all of the info to my phone

I don't use it as much as ElCid08, but I have all of those features, and it's handy if I realize I forgot to lock it, or just want to start it up as I'm walking out to the car so it's ready to go when I get to it.

I have a 301A and I can't seem to get anything in the App to work right. Can't get the doors to lock/unlock, can't see any status of the car, or anything else. It just is a generic thing to keep my VIN handy if I need it.

Your vehicle needs 4GLTE Smartlink

Uses mobile network.

https://media.ford.com/content/ford...es-on-your-older-model-ford-with-new-for.html

FordPass SmartLink customers pay $16.99 a month, plus installation, for 24 months to purchase the device and receive telematics services that enable remote key fob, location and vehicle health features. Also included is a complimentary trial of a Verizon 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot with 1 gigabyte or 30 days of data – whichever comes first.

To continue use of the Wi-Fi hotspot beyond the initial trial period, customers can add their FordPass SmartLink device to their existing Verizon account or establish a new one.

“Having reliable Wi-Fi on the go is no longer just ‘nice to have’ – it’s become a ‘must-have,’ and Ford recognizes that,” said Susan Heystee, senior vice president, worldwide OEM business at Verizon Connect. “Streaming music and podcasts in the front seat or keeping kids entertained on their mobile devices in the back is now as easy as turning on FordPass SmartLink’s Verizon 4G LTE hotspot.”

I thought I had a trial period of it. It hasn't worked since day one.

My dealerships lady who was supposed to show me and set all this stuff up was clueless. Basically told me those are the mirrors and that is the radio.

Unless it's different for the F150's this isn't true. Have it on my 2018 F150 and there is no monthly fee/charge. I have access to all the features mentioned by others.

Same with my 2018 explorer sport, everything works, no monthly fee.

What I posted was for the add-on device for models that did not ship with Smartlink.

Not sure if the new vehicles that ship with Smartlink enjoy a free trial period or its free for life.
