On my 2018 Mustang GT Premium I tried activating the Ford MyPass on my IPhone but for over 1/2 hour all I get is activation pending on my phone and nothing on the sync touch screen. Am I missing something or doing it wrong.

Called Ford Customer Service and they said I need sync connect option and if not on the window sticker wont work.

Only premium 2018 Mustang GT’s built after the first week of December 2017 have the “Sync Connect” option (in red letters) on their window sticker. Those red letters indicate the car has a built in cellular modem.

Ah, I didn't realize that. I thought all the Sync 3s had them. I connected mine to my 2017 F150 with Sync 3 but it doesn't have all the same features and was wondering why...now I know.

Guess out of luck, my GT Premium was built beginning of October. Just curious is the sync connect program free or is it like GM Onstar.

It just worked for me. I really like the remote control features.
The Ford owner site says this.
SYNC Connect is an optional feature. Includes complimentary 5-year subscription for remote features excluding Wi- Fi Hotspot, and starts with vehicle sale date.

Technically, all 401A and 201A Premium 2018 Mustangs (with digital dash) have the Sync Connect modem standard. Some of the early window stickers did not show it. The new 2018 models will give you the authorization screen only once to activate it. If you have the Sync Connect feature and the 'activation pending' remains on the app screen, you may have to delete the vehicle and re-add it to the app. Or perform a master reset in the vehicle and try again.

My 2018 GT Premium window sticker did not show it, I do have the 401A package. Someone on the forum said they did not include it till December builds, I then called Ford Customer Service who looked at my vin and said if not on the window sticker not included. Is there a way to find out definitely.
